SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING AND NAVIGATING BROADCAST-READY SOCIAL CONTENT ITEMS IN A LIVE PRODUCED VIDEO
Systems and methods for incorporating social content items into a produced video are provided. The system presents a producer interface to a user that allows the user to query for social content items. The user may then select and arrange social content items in an on-air queue. In an on-air mode, the system generates a broadcast-ready on-air format of the social content items and provides a video stream including the broadcast-ready social content items in the on-air queue to a video production system. The broadcast-ready social content items are incorporated into a produced video by the video production system. The user may navigate through the social content items in the on-air queue while on camera as part of the produced video.

IBOC COMPATIBLE SUPERPOSITION MODULATION BY INDEPENDENT MODULATORS UTILIZING CLIPPING NOISE FROM PEAK-TO-AVERAGE POWER REDUCTION
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for providing additional bandwidth to receivers that can decode a higher modulation comprising trading a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction induced constellation noise of all or a subset of in-band on-channel (I BOC) carriers within an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (ODFM) waveform with data carrying superposition modulation.
Broadcasting signal frame generation apparatus and method using layered divisional multiplexing
An apparatus and method for broadcast signal frame using layered division multiplexing are disclosed. An apparatus for generating broadcast signal frame according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a combiner configured to generate a multiplexed signal by combining a core layer signal and an enhanced layer signal at different power levels; a power normalizer configured to reduce the power of the multiplexed signal to a power level corresponding to the core layer signal; a time interleaver configured to generate a time-interleaved signal by performing interleaving that is applied to both the core layer signal and the enhanced layer signal; and a frame builder configured to generate a broadcast signal frame including a preamble for signaling time interleaver information shared by the core layer signal and the enhanced layer signal, using the time-interleaved signal.
Broadcasting signal transmitting device, broadcasting signal receiving device, broadcasting signal transmitting method, and broadcasting signal receiving method
A method of processing data in a digital receiving apparatus, the method including receiving a broadcast signal including low level signaling data, wherein the low level signaling data is carried via a specific data pipe (DP), wherein the low level signaling data includes service category information, the service category information is used to identify an AV service, an audio only service or an ESG (electronic service guide) service, wherein the low level signaling data is used to provide bootstrap information that allows the receiving apparatus to discover at least one service layer signaling information, wherein the bootstrap information includes URL data for a first service layer signaling information when the first service layer signaling information is transmitted via a broadband network, and wherein the bootstrap information includes a destination user datagram protocol (UDP) port number and a destination internet protocol (IP) address for a second service layer signaling information when the second service layer signaling information is transmitted via a broadcast network; and parsing the low level signaling data included in the broadcast signal, wherein the low level signaling data is parsed, and then the first service layer signaling information or the second service layer signaling information is processed.

Systems and methods for partitioning a video feed to segment live player activity
A process to partition a video feed to segment live player activity includes receiving, on a first recurring basis, a transmission of a central video feed from a first camera. The central video feed is calibrated against a spatial region represented in at least two dimensions that is encompassed by the central video feed. The process includes receiving, on a second recurring basis, a respective time-stamped position information from each tracking device in a plurality of tracking devices. Each tracking device is worn by a corresponding subject on the spatial region and transmits positional information that describes a time-stamped position of the corresponding subject in the spatial region. The process uses the received information and the calibration to define a first sub-view of the central video feed associated with a first subject. The first sub-view comprises a corresponding sub-frame associated with the first subject.
Program production method, program production apparatus, and recording medium
The present invention proposes a program production method or the like that is suitable for generating a program according to a change in situation. In a program production apparatus 3, a program production unit 21 generates a program using material data. A basic script storage unit 11 stores a basic script. In a stage in which the generation of the program is started, the program production unit 21 generates the program according to the basic script. Subsequently, the program production unit 21 gradually modifies the basic script using dynamic data (e.g., a user's instruction, information collected in a real-time manner, etc.), so as to generate a program suitable for the situation of the material data, viewers, or the like. This enables the provision of even live broadcasting with a small number of users. Also, this allows emergency broadcasting to be automatically provided according to situation.
TRANSMITTER, TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEIVER, AND RECEPTION METHOD
An association with a system timing at the time of transmission is secured without changing a display timing in text information of a subtitle, and a reception side displays the subtitle at an appropriate timing.
A packet in which a document of the text information of the subtitle having display timing information is included in a payload is generated and transmitted in synchronization with a sample period. A header of the packet includes a time stamp on a first time axis indicating a start time of the corresponding sample period. The payload of the packet further includes reference time information of a second time axis regarding the display timing associated with the start time of the corresponding sample period.
