A receiving device is provided including a receiving unit that receives a transmission frame transmitted from a transmitting device, and a demodulation unit that performs demodulation processing on a data signal obtained from a transmission frame that has been received, on the basis of a transmission control signal obtained from the transmission frame that has been received, in which the transmission control signal includes time-division control information regarding time-division control, as control information according to introduction of a second scheme compatible with a first scheme, and the demodulation unit operates according to the time-division control information. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a transmission system compliant with a broadcasting scheme such as an ISDB-T scheme.

Upon recognition of such a tagged segment, a video camera is activated to capture the viewer response. A composite video of the captured viewer response and the segment of viewed video is then created. The viewer is notified that the composite video has been created. The system and method also provide the viewer with options to share the video via social media.
