Streaming media authorization based on call signs
Disclosed are various embodiments for determining whether a client device is authorized to receive media content based at least in part on the call signs of broadcast stations that the client device is able to receive. A computing device receives a broadcast station identifier and a program identifier from a client computing device. The computing device determines that the client computing device is authorized to access media content identified by the program identifier based at least in part on the broadcast station identifier. Finally, the computing device streams the media content to the client computing device in response to determining that the client computing device is authorized to access the media content.
Satellite radio transfer method
A method for adding a new radio receiver to a subscriber account includes the steps of: receiving a request to add a new radio receiver to the subscriber's account; selecting a new radio receiver to be added to the subscriber's account, the new radio receiver comprising an electronic serial number specific to the radio receiver; automatically establishing, by the transfer program, a communications link with a radio provider; automatically communicating, to the radio provider by the transfer program via the communications link, a request to add, to the subscriber's account, the electronic serial number specific to the radio receiver; and automatically confirming, with the radio provider via the communications link, that the new electronic serial number specific to the radio receiver has successfully been added to the subscriber's account.
Method, system, mobile device, apparatus and computer program product for validating rights objects
A method, system, mobile device, apparatus and computer program product are provided for accurately determining whether one or more rights objects associated with a mobile device are valid. In particular, a secure time source (e.g., DRM clock or time) may be maintained by the mobile device and used to check the validity of the one or more rights objects. In order to ensure that the secure time source or clock remains accurate, the mobile device may update the secure time source by regularly requesting and receiving the DVB-H network time from a DVB-H network entity. Because the DVB-H network time is secure, accurate and readily accessible, it provides an ideal tool for correcting possible drift in the mobile device's secure time source.

SWALLOW EXERCISER
A method and system for antenna alignment is provided at a receiving antenna. Geolocation information of the receiving antenna is entered. An auto-programming sequence is initiated to tune to channels received from a transmitting antenna. A plurality of transmitted signals is received from the transmitting antenna. Each of the plurality of transmitted signals is transmitted on a respective channel and includes geolocation information of the transmitting antenna, conditional access data, and a payload. A signal processor of the receiving antenna calculates a signal path between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna for receiving each of the plurality of transmitted signals based on the geolocation information of the receiving antenna and the geolocation information of the transmitting antenna. A storage device of the receiving antenna records, as part of a selection list, a channel number and the calculated signal path to the transmitting antenna for each of the plurality of transmitted signals. One of said plurality of transmitted signals is selected. The receiving antenna is aligned, using a pan/tilt system, to tune the selected one of the plurality of transmitted signals according to the calculated signal path.
Method and system for caching content for mobile distribution
Method and system are provided for mobile distribution of content received via satellite signals. A satellite reception assembly may comprise a receive module and a basestation module. The receive module may receive satellite signals, process the received satellite signals to recover data carried therein, determine when the recovered data comprises a portion for local wireless broadcast by the system, and if so generate broadcast signals for carrying the portion of recovered data. The basestation module may transmit the generated broadcast signals, particularly to a mobile device of a satellite subscriber authorized to receive and access the data carried in the satellite signals. The recovered data may comprise web-based content.

Swallow exerciser
A swallow exerciser device that exercises and thereby strengthens the muscles involved in swallowing includes a rigid shell, an adjustable fastener, and an inflatable pad. The rigid shell has a longitudinal dimension such that the shell extends above and below the larynx of the subject when the swallow exerciser device is positioned over the larynx of the subject. The adjustable fastener is dimensioned to secure the shell around a neck of the subject with the shell positioned over the larynx of the subject. The inflatable pad is connected to a proximal surface of the shell. The inflatable pad is dimensioned to apply resistance to force of at least one swallowing muscle of the subject when the shell positioned over the larynx of the subject and when the inflatable pad is in an inflated position. The swallow exerciser device can be used in a method for improving swallowing function in a subject.
Reception device, transmission device, and data processing method
The present technology relates to a reception device, a transmission device, and a data processing method that enable a flexible operation of a service using an application that accompanies content. A reception device includes: a reception unit that receives content; an acquisition unit that acquires an application in accordance with acquisition source information indicating an acquisition source of the application accompanying the content, the acquisition source information being included in control information transmitted together with the content; and a control unit that instantly starts the acquired application. The present technology can be applied to a television set capable of receiving digital broadcasts, for example.
