Apparatus, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods for volume adjustment are disclosed herein. An example method includes collecting data corresponding to a volume of an audio signal as the audio signal is output through a device, when an average volume of the audio signal does not satisfy a volume threshold for a specified timespan, determining a difference between the average volume and a desired volume, and applying a gain to the audio signal to adjust the volume of the audio signal to the desired volume, the gain determined based on the difference between the average volume and the desired volume.

A detection device detecting a scene related to a sponsor credit included in a commercial message from a target video is provided. The detection device comprises a detection unit that associates, from a preliminary video, a still image related to the sponsor credit with an audio signal related to the sponsor credit included other than in a frame or an audio signal configuring the commercial message so as to detect the scene related to the sponsor credit from the target video.

There is provided a method for searching a plurality of information sources using a multimedia element, the method may include receiving at least one multimedia element; generating, by a signature generator, for the at least one multimedia element at least one signature that is unidirectional, and yields compression; generating at least one textual search query using the at least one signature; wherein the generating of the textual search query comprises: (a) searching for at least one matching stored signature that matches one or more of the at least one signature; and (b) using a mapping between stored signatures and textual search queries, selecting at least one textual search query mapped to at least one matching stored signature; searching the plurality of information sources using the at least one textual search query; and causing a display of search results retrieved from the plurality of information sources.
System and method for using multimedia content as search queries

The system allows a user, using an application on a computing device while a piece of sponsored content is being broadcast, to express an interest in the broadcast piece of sponsored content and the interest of the user is communicated to a backend system that selects an endpoint destination associated with the broadcast piece of sponsored content wherein the endpoint destination is a pointer to further digital information about the broadcast piece of sponsored content. The system and method may periodically change the selected endpoint destination based on an event in the sponsored piece of content.
