FILTERING WIND NOISES IN VIDEO CONTENT
Implementations disclose filtering wind noises in video content. A method includes receiving video content comprising an audio component and a video component, detecting, by a processing device, occurrence of a wind noise artifact in a segment of the audio component, identifying duration of the wind noise artifact and intensity of the wind noise artifact, selecting, by the processing device, a wind noise replacement operation based on the identified duration and intensity of the wind noise artifact, and applying, by the processing device, the selected wind noise replacement operation to the segment of the audio component to remove the wind noise artifact from the segment.
System and method for increasing transmission bandwidth efficiency (“EBT2”)
Systems and methods for increasing transmission bandwidth efficiency by the analysis and synthesis of the ultimate components of transmitted content are presented. To implement such a system, a dictionary or database of elemental codewords can be generated from a set of audio clips. Using such a database, a given arbitrary song or other audio file can be expressed as a series of such codewords, where each given codeword in the series is a compressed audio packet that can be used as is, or, for example, can be tagged to be modified to better match the corresponding portion of the original audio file. Each codeword in the database has an index number or unique identifier. For a relatively small number of bits used in a unique ID, e.g. 27-30, several hundreds of millions of codewords can be uniquely identified. By providing the database of codewords to receivers of a broadcast or content delivery system in advance, instead of broadcasting or streaming the actual compressed audio signal, all that need be transmitted is the series of identifiers along with any modification instructions to the identified codewords. After reception, intelligence on the receiver having access to a locally stored copy of the dictionary can reconstruct the original audio clip by accessing the codewords via the received IDs, modify them as instructed by the modification instructions, further modify the codewords either individually or in groups using the audio profile of the original audio file (also sent by the encoder) and play back a generated sequence of phase corrected codewords and modified codewords as instructed. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such modification can extend into neighboring codewords, and can utilize either or both (i) cross correlation based time alignment and (ii) phase continuity between harmonics, to achieve higher fidelity to the original audio clip.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETECT COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH MEDIA PRESENTATIONS
Methods and apparatus to detect commercial advertisements associated with media presentations are disclosed. An example method involves receiving a video frame and detecting a change in box-formatting between the video frame and a subsequent video frame. A transition between the video frame and the subsequent video frame is indicated as a commercial advertisement transition based on the detected change in box-formatting.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPERVISED AND UNSUPERVISED DETECTION OF TELEVISION ADVERTISEMENTS
A system and method for detecting one or more advertisements broadcast on a channel in real time includes a step of extracting a first set of audio fingerprints and a first set of video fingerprints. The first set of audio fingerprints and the first set of video fingerprints correspond to a media content broadcast on the channel. The method also includes a step of generating a set of digital signature values. The set of digital signature values corresponds to an extracted set of video fingerprints. The method also includes a step of detecting the one or more advertisements broadcast on the channel with the processor. The first set of video fingerprints and the audio fingerprints is extracted sequentially in the real time.
COMPUTING DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided are an artificial intelligence (AI) system that simulates functions of a human brain such as recognition and judgment by utilizing a machine learning algorithm such as deep learning, etc. and an application of the AI system. A computing apparatus is disclosed. A computing apparatus comprises a memory storing instructions and a processor executing the instructions in the memory to obtain a keyword corresponding to a broadcast channel from a speech signal included in a broadcast signal received through the broadcast channel, determine a relation between genre information of the broadcast channel obtained from metadata about the broadcast channel and the obtained keyword and determine a genre of the broadcast channel based on the genre information obtained from the metadata or by analyzing an image signal included in the broadcast signal, according to the determined relation.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING THE EFFICIENCY OF PUBLICITY AND/OR BROADCASTED PROGRAMS
System for determining the efficiency of publicity and/or broadcasted programs, comprising an audio signature generating unit with an adaptor that consists of a sampling unit for sampling the audio signal transmitted by the radio/TV at a first rate; a transformer, for obtaining galvanic separation between the power amplifier of the radio/TV, which feeds the loudspeakers and the input to the sampling circuitry. The audio signature generating unit is adapted to sample the audio signal transmitted by the receiver radio/TV that receives FM-radio/TV stations and to generate a characteristic audio signature. The system also comprises a plurality of stationary reference station units, each continuously listens to a station and is adapted to sample the audio signal transmitted by a particular broadcasting station to generate a stationary characteristic audio signature. A server is used to receive all signatures and continuously compare each characteristic audio signature to all stationary characteristic audio signatures, in order to find the best matching to one of the stationary characteristic audio signatures. If consecutive samples received from the audio signature generating unit appear essentially at the same timing within a predetermined time window, the server determines that the radio/TV receiver of a particular audio signature generating unit is currently tuned to a corresponding broadcasting station, for which the best matching has been found.
