SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AVOIDING SPOILERS IN PRESENTING RECORDING PROMPTS RELATING TO A COMPETITION
Systems and methods are described for a media guidance application (e.g., implemented on a user device) that avoids spoilers in presenting recording prompts relating to a competition by scheduling presentation of notifications according to the user profile.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING OVERLAY GRAPHICS ON TELEVISION PROGRAMS IN RESPONSE TO VIEWER INPUT AND TRACKING AND ANALYZING VIEWER INPUTS
A methods and system for receiving viewer input to a television program may include the step of receiving the television program and receiving, during presentation of the television program on a television, at a media box interposed between a media feed and the television, an input from a viewer device. The input may be processed to determine a desired graphic and a designated location for the desired graphic. Based upon the determination, the media box may modify the media feed to create a modified video feed comprising the desired graphic. The modified video feed may be output to the television, whereby the television presents the program with the graphic displayed on program at the designated location. Finally, the media box may report the input to analytic service.
Media channel identification with multi-match detection and disambiguation based on location
Disclosed are methods and systems involving location-based disambiguation of media channel identification, in a scenario where a fingerprint of media content being rendered by a media presentation device matches multiple reference fingerprints corresponding respectively with multiple different media channels. Upon detecting such a multi-match situation, a server or other entity will use a location of the media presentation device as a basis to disambiguate between the matching reference fingerprints and thus to determine the channel on which the media content being rendered by the media presentation device is arriving.
Arbitrated content consumption
Some aspects may include determining whether to allow a skip over a portion of required content based on the amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played. The amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played may be measured based on the sum time of content played, or may be based on the amount of wall time elapsed. The determination of whether to allow a skip over a portion of required content may be made based on comparing the amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played to a threshold amount of time. Some aspects may allow free navigation within content if the amount of time elapsed is less than the threshold, and may restrict navigation or require playback of required content if the amount of time elapsed is greater than the threshold.

Virtual interactive audience interface
Embodiments provide methods and systems for creating virtual audiences and for facilitating remote audience participation. An example embodiment for creating a virtual audience begins by providing a digital feed from a performance area to a remotely located audience. In turn, such a method receives feedback from the remotely located audience and provides an output at the performance area corresponding to at least a portion of the received feedback.
