Hybrid imaging system for photodiagnosis and phototherapy
The present invention relates to a hybrid imaging system for photodiagnosis and phototherapy and, more particularly, to a hybrid imaging system for photodiagnosis and phototherapy, which simultaneously acquires a visible ray image or a near-infrared ray image and a lonq wave infrared ray image by using an optical method. The hybrid imaging system for photodiagnosis and phototherapy according to the present invention includes a light distribution unit, a visible ray/near-infrared ray measurement unit, a long wave infrared ray measurement unit, and a light source unit, thereby simultaneously and quickly extracting a visible ray image, a near-infrared ray image, and a long wave infrared ray image without mutual distortion.
METHOD OF PROVIDING DOSES OF LIGHT SUFFICIENT TO DEACTIVATE DANGEROUS PATHOGENS THROUGHOUT A VOLUMETRIC SPACE OVER A PERIOD OF TIME
A method of inactivating one or more pathogens in an environment. The method includes providing light from at least one lighting element of a lighting device installed in the environment, the at least one lighting element configured to provide light toward a target area in the environment, the provided light having at least a pathogen-inactivating first component in a first range of wavelengths of 400 nanometers to 420 nanometers. The pathogen-inactivating first component of light produces an irradiance of at least 0.01 mW/cm.sup.2 as measured at a surface in the target area that is unshielded from the lighting device and located at a distance of 1.5 meters from an external-most luminous surface of the lighting device. Providing the light causes the one or more pathogens to be inactivated.
Phototherapy device and system
A ring has an open top side and side walls that circumscribe a central region for receiving a phototherapy subject. The side walls include a work surface that is configured to receive visible light through the open top side and reflect the visible light toward the central region for phototherapy. The work surface includes a first surface that is a diffuse reflector and a second surface that is a specular reflector.
PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY METHOD FOR SKIN DISORDERS
The present invention is directed to methods of treating diseases and disorders of the skin (e.g., acne) with heat-enabled photodynamic therapy (HEPT).
Multiple Light Emitter for Inactivating Microorganisms
Disclosed herein is a multiple light emitter device which inactivates microorganisms. The device includes at least two light emitters and at least one light-converting material arranged to convert at least a portion of light from the light emitters. Any unconverted light emitted from the light emitters and converted light emitted from the at least one light-converting material mixes to form a combined light, the combined light being white. In one aspect, the light emitters include at least one blue light emitter and at least one violet light emitter. In another aspect, the light emitters include one blue light emitter and one emitter within the range of approximately yellow to infrared light.
Method of providing doses of light sufficient to deactivate dangerous pathogens throughout a volumetric space over a period of time
A method of providing doses of light sufficient to deactivate bacteria throughout a volumetric space. The method includes: (1) receiving data associated with a desired illuminance level for the space, indicative of an estimated occupancy of the volumetric space over a pre-determined period of time, and indicative of dimensions of the space; (2) determining, based on the received data, an arrangement of one or more lighting fixtures in the volumetric space, the one or more lighting fixtures configured to at least partially emit disinfecting light having a wavelength of between 400 nm and 420 nm, and a total radiometric power to be applied via the one or more lighting fixtures to produce a desired power density at any exposed surface within the volumetric space during the period of time; and (3) installing the determined arrangement of one or more lighting fixtures in the volumetric space.
LIGHT RADIATION DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT
A light radiation device includes a housing, a substrate provided in the housing, and a light source mounted on the substrate. The light source includes a first light source including at least one first light source to emit first light having a blue wavelength band, a second light source including at least one second light source to emit second light having a ultraviolet wavelength band, and a control unit to control the first light source and the second light source such that the second light source sequentially emits the second light after the first light source emits the first light. A dose of the second light source is less than 1/10 of a dose of the first light source.
Method and system for configuring biomedical laser
A method for re-configuring a biomedical laser device. The biomedical laser device is pre-configured to be operable in one or more operational modes, and is provided with set of operational parameters that are employed for at least one of: given medical procedure, given medical treatment, activation of given drug, illumination of given dye. The method includes collecting information indicative of light output properties of biomedical laser device measured during given operational mode; detecting deviation in measured light output properties with respect to predefined light output properties for given operational mode; determining new set of operational parameters that are to be employed for at least one of: new medical procedure, new medical treatment, activation of new drug, illumination of new dye; and sending new set of operational parameters to biomedical laser device for re-configuring biomedical laser device to be operable in a new operational mode.
