Provided are an apparatus and a method for processing conditional access system (CAS)-based content. A method of operating a broadcast receiving apparatus includes: receiving a broadcast stream that includes content encrypted based on a CAS; extracting, from the received broadcast stream, CAS information for decrypting the encrypted content; receiving an entitlement control message (ECM) having a preset format based on the CAS information generated in a different format for each broadcasting business operator; and displaying the content decrypted based on the ECM.

A method and system for digital marketing and the provision of digital content allows a user to express, using an application executed on a computing device while a piece of content is being broadcast using an analog or digital signal by an analog or digital radio or television station system, an interest in the broadcast piece of content that is communicated to a backend system. The backend system selects an end point destination that is a pointer to further digital information associated with the broadcast piece of content and communicates the end point destination for the broadcast piece of content to the user who can access the digital information.

A receiving device is provided that includes circuitry configured to receive audio video content and extract a feature from either one or both of a video signal and an audio signal of the received audio video content. The circuitry is configured to send the extracted feature to a feature identification server and receive, from the feature identification server, a response including location information and time position information. The circuitry is configured to generate a request based on the location information and the time position information, and send the request to a server associated with the location information. An example method includes applying, by executing an instruction with a processor, a duration-based count matrix to first demographic data associated with collected impressions of digital audio to determine second demographic data, the duration-based count matrix being based on a misattribution adjustment matrix, applying, by executing an instruction with the processor, a coverage adjustment vector to the second demographic data to determine third demographic data, applying, by executing an instruction with the processor, a scaling factor to the third demographic data to determine fourth demographic data, and generating, by executing an instruction with the processor, ratings data at a daypart-level using the fourth demographic data, the ratings data associated with the digital audio.
