MULTIPLE PORTS WITH DIFFERENT BAUD RATE OVER A SINGLE SERDES
Various examples of the present disclosure relate to a transmitter apparatus, device, method, and computer program, to a receiver apparatus, device, method, and computer program, and to corresponding source and destination devices and communication devices. The transmitter apparatus comprises a plurality of ports for data to be transmitted to a destination device, with each port being associated with a transmission data rate. The transmitter apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to obtain data to be transmitted to the destination device via the plurality of ports. The processing circuitry is configured to multiplex the data to be transmitted to the destination device according to a weighted round-robin scheme to generate a multiplexed data stream. The weights of the weighted round-robin scheme are based on the transmission data rate of the respective port the data is obtained over. The processing circuitry is configured to transmit the multiplexed data stream to the destination device.
Bandwidth allocation device and bandwidth allocation method
A bandwidth allocation device is included in a communication system having a terminal station device and a terminal device and relaying upstream data, which is received from a communication terminal by a lower device connected to the terminal device, to an upper device connected to the terminal station device. The bandwidth allocation device includes a transmission-permitted period start position determining unit configured to estimate a start position of an arrival period in which the upstream data arrives at the terminal device from the lower device; a transmission-permitted period length determining unit configured to estimate a length of the arrival period based on an amount of upstream data to be transmitted from the lower device to the terminal device; and a bandwidth allocation unit configured to allocate a bandwidth to the terminal device based on the estimated start position and the estimated length of the arrival period.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING DATA OVER TRANSMISSION CHANNELS SHARED BY SECERALCOMMUNICATION PARTICIPANTS THROUGH TIME-DIVISION MULTIPLEXING
A method and a system for transmitting data over transmission channels shared by several communication participants through time-division multiplexing. Each of the communication participants is configured to dynamically assign messages which are to be sent over the transmission channels to the transmission channels and to assign messages which are to be sent over the transmission channels and which comprise data that is to be transmitted redundantly, to different transmission channels. The communication participants may be further configured to cooperatively determine, in a conflict resolution phase assigned to a time slot, for each of the transmission channels, which of the communication participants is authorized to transmit over the respective transmission channel in the time slot.
