Synchronization signal block and remaining minimum system information integration in unlicensed systems
11197294 · 2021-12-07 · ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and user equipment (UE) may implement techniques to integrate remaining minimum system information (RMSI) and synchronization signal block (SSB) delivery in a shared radio frequency spectrum band. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs and corresponding RMSI transmissions in a same transmission opportunity (TxOP) and configure resource allocations to reduce or eliminate transmission gaps. For example, the SSBs and the corresponding RMSI transmissions may be transmitted after a single, successful listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure. For each SSB, the associated RMSI control resources and RMSI shared channel resources may be nearby or continuous in time such that the SSB, control resource set, and the RMSI downlink shared channel signal are transmitted as a package.

BEAM SWITCHING USER DATA OUTAGE REDUCTION IN A SPOT BEAM SATELLITE SYSTEM

A system and method for beam switching by a User Terminal (UT). The method includes initiating a beam switch between an old beam and a new beam when the UT is disposed in an overlap area of the old beam and the new beam; duplicating over the new beam, at a Network Access Point (NAP), user traffic to the UT; and assigning a Time Division Multiplex Access (TDMA) allocation for the UT on the new beam, prior to an arrival of the UT on the new beam, where the user traffic traversing a satellite network remains uninterrupted during the beam switch and the NAP redirects user traffic for the UT via the old beam to the new beam.

Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) to support dual-connectivity with a Master Evolved Node-B (MeNB) and a Secondary eNB (SeNB) are disclosed herein. The UE may receive downlink traffic packets from the MeNB and from the SeNB as part of a split data radio bearer (DRB). At least a portion of control functionality for the split DRB may be performed at each of the MeNB and the SeNB. The UE may receive an uplink eNB indicator for an uplink eNB to which the UE is to transmit uplink traffic packets as part of the split DRB. Based at least partly on the uplink eNB indicator, the UE may transmit uplink traffic packets to the uplink eNB as part of the split DRB. The uplink eNB may be selected from a group that includes the MeNB and the SeNB.

Extended spectrum TDMA signal switching cable tap box
11343008 · 2022-05-24 · ·

A method of proprietary TDMA (Time-Division Multiple Access) data modulated signals nonlinear signal splitting (switching) system is disclosed. Said TDMA system operates over distribution CATV infrastructure and in ES (extended spectrum) that is usually allocated above in the frequency band comparing to one defined in the CATV DOCSIS standard. Said system is meant to increase data throughput capacity over existing CATV based systems targeting primarily ES (Extended Spectrum band) by means of TDMA approach. The purpose of the RF switches based tap box is to connect specific device to which TDMA packet is relayed to. This approach reduces excessive losses that are present in standard tap boxes by disconnecting other devices, which are not receiving or sending related TDMA data packets. The described method introduces switch control receiver concept that allows for configuration of various operation modes such as regular switched TDMA, amplified and broadcast modes.

On demand data delivery in a wireless network

On-demand allocation of communication capacity in a Mobile ad hoc Network (MANET) involves initiating in a first node of the MANET, a request for network communication capacity. The request is initiated by wirelessly transmitting an access request in a first epoch, during an access request time slot of a TDMA waveform. The access request is directed to one-hop neighbor nodes with which the first node can communicate directly. The first node determines whether the access request has been granted based on one or more responses received from the one-hop neighbor nodes. These responses include an indication by each of the one-hop neighbor nodes regarding their availability to accommodate the access request. The first node subsequently uses network communication capacity granted to it for communicating data.
