SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OFDM DUOBINARY TRANSMISSION
A method of modulating a series of input digital symbols of a first modulation scheme is provided. The method is implemented by a transmitter and includes receiving a sequential series of samples of the digital symbols in a first domain of the first modulation scheme. The first domain is one of the time domain and the frequency domain. The method further includes determining a dual of the first modulation scheme. The dual has a second modulation scheme in a second domain that is different from the first domain the second domain is the other of the time domain and the frequency domain. The method further includes applying a 90 degree rotational operation to the second modulation scheme to generate a rotational modulation format, modulating the series of digital symbols with the generated rotational modulation format, and outputting the modulated series of digital symbols to a receiver.
Distance estimation device, mobile terminal, distance estimation method, and program
A phase rotation amount of each of subcarriers is calculated by calculating a difference between the first phase difference and the second phase difference between consecutive subcarriers included in radio signals, and performing phase addition processing based on the difference. A characteristic coefficient regarding a change rate of the phase rotation amount of each of the subcarriers with respect to a frequency is calculated by performing a linear regression analysis of the relationship between a frequency and the phase rotation amount, and a distance is estimated based on the characteristic coefficient.
Method and apparatus for advanced OFDM triggering techniques
Systems and methods for a non-data-aided (NDA) approach to advanced OFDM timing are provided. This approach allows for accurate OFDM symbol timing and synchronization by avoiding inter-symbol interference (ISI) in multipath environments where an earliest arriving signal may not be the strongest signal. The NDA approach may rely on generating and applying a bias correction to a combined correlation result of the multi-path signals.
Method and apparatus for monitoring, detecting, testing, diagnosing and/or mitigating interference in a communication system
A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, receiving, via an antenna, a signal generated by a communication device, detecting passive intermodulation interference in the signal, the interference generated by one or more transmitters unassociated with the communication device, and the interference determined from signal characteristics associated with a signaling protocol used by the one or more transmitters. Other embodiments are disclosed.
PROCESSING SIGNALS TO ACCOUNT FOR MULTIPATH-REFLECTION PHENOMENA IN RF COMMUNICATIONS
Aspects of the present disclosure may involve use of a radio frequency receiver and in such a receiver, tracking multipath gains and delays of multipath reflections corresponding to an OFDM multipath transmission channel. The gains and delays are based on time-domain evolution of the channel impulse response. Multipath reflections are searched for and then used to calculate channel correlation information to provide channel estimations to aid in mitigating or cancelling distortion of the received signal.

Estimating frequency-offsets and multi-antenna channels in MIMO OFDM systems
Techniques are described for carrier frequency offset (CFO) and channel estimation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmissions over multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency-selective fading channels. A wireless transmitter forms blocks of symbols by inserting training symbols within two or more blocks of information-bearing symbols. The transmitter applies a hopping code to each of the blocks of symbols to insert a null subcarrier at a different position within each of the blocks of symbols, and a modulator outputs a wireless signal in accordance with the blocks of symbols. A receiver receives the wireless signal and estimates the CFO, and outputs a stream of estimated symbols based on the estimated CFO.

Other embodiments are disclosed.
Symbol configuration for single-carrier for frequency domain equalization waveform
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a wireless device determines a symbol configuration for transmission of SC-FDE waveform with zero gaps arranged between a communication channel part, RS part, and CP part. The SC-FDE waveform is transmitted to another wireless device, which processes the SC-FDE waveform.
