Techniques for unified synchronization channel design in new radio
Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for synchronization channel design and signaling in wireless communications systems (e.g., a 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) system). In an aspect, a method includes identifying a frequency band supported by a user equipment (UE), identifying one or more frequency locations based on the identified frequency band, and the one or more frequency locations are a subset of synchronization raster points used for synchronization signal transmission. The method further includes searching for at least one synchronization signal based on the one or more identified frequency locations.
User terminal and radio communication method
To prevent occurrence of delay and/or increase in power consumption at the time of access to a network in future radio communication systems, one aspect of a user terminal according to the present disclosure includes: a receiving section that receives a synchronization signal block including a broadcast channel in a certain sync raster; and a control section that controls, based on certain bit information of a certain information element included in the synchronization signal block, a sync raster to be detected by variably interpreting bit information included in at least one of the certain information element and another information element.
Terminal, radio communication method, and system
A terminal is disclosed including a processor coupled to a receiver that performs a measurement for a radio link monitoring (RLM) using a reference signal for the RLM; and controls, based on a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of the reference signal, a scheduling restriction on data during the measurement for the RLM, wherein the processor assumes that a condition for enabling transmission or reception of the data during the measurement for the RLM is more moderate than a condition for enabling transmission or reception of data during a radio resource management (RRM) measurement. In other aspects, a radio communication method and a system are also disclosed.
OPERATION METHOD OF TERMINAL AND BASE STATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING UNLICENSED BAND, AND APPARATUS SUPPORTING SAME
The present disclosure provides an operation method of a terminal and a base station in a wireless communication system supporting an unlicensed band, and an apparatus supporting same. As a specific example, the present disclosure comprises an operation method of a terminal and an operation method of a base station corresponding thereto, by which a terminal can obtain timing information relating to a unlicensed band on the basis of a PBCH payload in a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence for the PBCH.
Techniques and apparatuses for downlink control channel design using a top to bottom search space
User equipment associated with a legacy network may utilize a bottom-to-top search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. Generating a control channel that is configured for the bottom-to-top search technique may lead to poor performance in a single-carrier waveform, which may be disadvantageous as networks move toward New Radio. In some aspects, described herein, a base station generates a control channel that is configured to minimize gaps in the control channel, and a user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. By using the top-to-bottom search technique, degradation of single-carrier waveforms is reduced and efficiency is improved.
Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving control information and data in frame structure of short transmission time interval
Provided are a method for transmitting and receiving control information and data between a user equipment and a base station in a short TTI frame structure. In the method, a search space of a legacy PDCCH and a search space of a sPDCCH may be separated from each other on the basis of the type of the search space or aggregation level, etc., and information on the separated search space may be signaled to the user equipment, thereby enabling the user equipment to detect a DCI while reducing the complexity of a blind decoding.
Method and apparatus for indicating position of cell-defining synchronization signal block and searching for the same, and base station
A method of indicating a position of a cell-defining SSB includes: acquiring on-off indication information set in a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) of a non-cell-defining SSB, where the on-off indication information is a first value or a second value. In response to that the on-off indication information is the first value, the base station sets SSB position indication information in the PBCH to indicate a position of a raster or a raster group in which a cell-defining SSB is located. In response to that the on-off indication information is the second value, the base station sets gap indication information in the PBCH to indicate that there is no cell-defining SSB within a range of a current frequency band. The range has a length of a gap value and is centered at a position of the current SSB; and sending the SSB to user equipment (UE).

Synchronization signal block index signaling
This disclosure relates to providing synchronization signal block index signaling in a cellular communication system. A cellular base station may provide synchronization signals according to a periodic pattern, including transmitting one or more synchronization signal bursts each including one or more synchronization signal blocks. A wireless device may detect a synchronization signal block. The wireless device may determine a synchronization signal block index of the detected synchronization signal block. The wireless device may provide an indication of the synchronization signal block index of the detected synchronization signal block to the cellular base station.
Method and apparatus for detecting synchronization signal in wireless communication system
An operation method of an electronic device including: dividing a cell search period into a plurality of partial detection ranges based on the number of partial buffers and a size of the partial buffer; obtaining a first correlation detection information based on a first synchronization signal, while temporarily storing first signals in a first partial buffer among the partial buffers, in which the first signals are received during a first partial detection range among the plurality of partial detection ranges; and obtaining a second correlation detection information for the first signals based on the first correlation detection information and a second synchronization signal, during a second partial detection range among the plurality of partial detection ranges and obtaining the first correlation detection information for second signals based on the first synchronization signal, while temporarily storing the second signals received during the second partial detection range in a second partial buffer.
