Handover performed in consideration of uplink/downlink component carrier setup
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system which supports carrier aggregation. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for enabling a user equipment to perform a handover in a wireless communication system which supports carrier aggregation. The method for performing a handover comprises the steps of: transmitting a measurement report on a target cell to a serving cell; receiving, from the serving cell, a message containing a signature route sequence index, cyclic shift parameters, and information related to the component carrier of the target cell; confirming contention-based signatures generated on the basis of the signature route sequence index and cyclic shift parameters; and transmitting one of said contention-based signatures to the target cell for random access, via one or more component carriers, on the basis of said information related to the component carrier. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for the method.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING MEASUREMENT BASED ON DISCOVERY SIGNALS
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for performing measurement based on discovery signals. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving, from cells, discovery signals based on cell-specific reference signals (CRSs); and performing measurement based on the CRS-based discovery signals for a predetermined measurement period. If a measurement bandwidth is six resource blocks (RBs), the predetermined measurement period can be determined by 5*the measurement occasion periodicity of the discovery signals. If the measurement bandwidth is 25 resource blocks (RBs), the predetermined measurement period can be determined by 3*the measurement occasion periodicity of the discovery signals. Also, the discovery signals can be received for a discovery signal occasion duration defined by N consecutive subframes.
DISCOVERING PHYSICAL CELL IDENTIFIERS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Aspects of the present disclosure describe receiving, in a portion of bandwidth, a unified synchronization signal from one or more cells in a zone, and receiving, in the portion of bandwidth, a cell-specific signal from at least one cell of the one or more cells in the zone.
Self configuration and optimization of cell neighbors in wireless telecommunications
A mobile terminal assists in the updating of a neighbor cell list associated with a first cell of a wireless telecommunications network. The list comprises elements that identify other cells that have a neighbor cell relationship with the first cell. The mobile terminal comprises a radio transceiver; and a controller coupled to the radio transceiver.
Device and a method for measuring a channel quality of a secondary cell in an on/off state
[Object] To make it possible to perform measurement reporting suitable for an environment in which the on/off state of a cell is switched. [Solution] There is provided a device including: an acquiring unit configured to acquire information indicating that a serving cell is scheduled to be in an off state; and a control unit configured to perform measurement reporting before the serving cell is in the off state.
Apapratus and method for adaptive discovery signal measurement timing configuration
Disclosed herein is a method implemented in a network node configured to operate in a wireless network for adjusting the length of a search window, in which a wireless communication device is required to search for signals from other network nodes. The method comprises the steps of determining a degree of synchronization of the network, estimating an expected delay to acquire a channel within the network, determining a search window length and informing the wireless communication device of the determined search window length. Also disclosed herein is an arrangement of a network node and a computer program product.
Techniques for reference signal interference canceling or rate matching
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information that identifies an association between a first cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second cell of a second RAT. The UE may perform a measurement for the first cell. The UE may determine that the measurement for the first cell satisfies a threshold value. The UE may perform an interference canceling operation for a reference signal of the second cell, or a de-weighting operation for one or more resource elements in which the reference signal interferes, based at least in part on the determination that the measurement for the first cell satisfies the threshold value and the association between the first cell and the second cell. Numerous other aspects are described.
Techniques and apparatuses for downlink control channel design using a top to bottom search space
User equipment associated with a legacy network may utilize a bottom-to-top search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. Generating a control channel that is configured for the bottom-to-top search technique may lead to poor performance in a single-carrier waveform, which may be disadvantageous as networks move toward New Radio. In some aspects, described herein, a base station generates a control channel that is configured to minimize gaps in the control channel, and a user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. By using the top-to-bottom search technique, degradation of single-carrier waveforms is reduced and efficiency is improved.

Method and system of adaptive regulating for indoor network
The present disclosure publishes a method and a system of adaptive regulating for indoor network coverage. The method includes detecting the neighboring cells of every cell, obtaining a list of the neighboring cells, and sending a list of the neighboring cells to a network managing center, the network managing center configured to generate an correlating information among the cells; dividing a first bandwidth into a plurality of sub-bandwidths and obtaining a minimum number of the sub-bandwidth according to the correlating information among the cells; assigning the corresponding sub-bandwidths to each of the cells.
