SCAN-BASED SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL BLOCK (SSB) CONFIGURATION FOR A BASE STATION

A method of wireless communication includes, in response to a trigger event detected at a first base station, performing, by the first base station, a scan of a plurality of frequencies for a synchronization signal block (SSB) transmission from a second base station. The plurality of frequencies correspond to a plurality of global synchronization channel numbers (GSCNs) associated with the first base station and the second base station. The first base station is associated with a first coverage area that is at least partially within a second coverage area associated with the second base station. The method further includes transmitting, by the first base station, one or more SSBs having an SSB configuration that is based on a result of the scan.

Wireless Device Scheduling Availability During Neighbor Cell Measurements

This disclosure relates to techniques for aligning wireless device and cellular network expectations and behavior in conjunction with neighbor cell measurements in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may determine that a reference signal is configured for a neighbor cell measurement when communication with the serving cell is also configured. The wireless device may determine whether the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement is configured with same or different subcarrier spacing as the communication with the serving cell. The wireless device may select one or more of the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement or the communication with the serving cell to receive based at least in part on whether the reference signal for the neighbor cell measurement is configured with same or different subcarrier spacing as the communication with the serving cell.

Obtaining neighbor cell control channel resources in unlicensed bands

Various embodiments herein provide techniques for indication of a starting frequency of a control resource set (CORESET). In embodiments, two modes for determining the starting frequency are provided. An access node (e.g., next generation Node B (gNB)) may send an indication to a user equipment (UE) to indicate which mode to use (e.g., in a payload of a physical broadcast channel (PBCH)). Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Method and device for configuring measurement parameter

The present disclosure provides a method and a device for configuring one or more measurement parameters. The method is applied to a base station, and includes acquiring signal transmission information from a neighboring cell. The signal transmission information includes first information about the transmission of a synchronization signal and/or second information about the transmission of a reference signal for beam measurement. According to the present disclosure, it is able to solve the problem in the related art where it is impossible for a conventional measurement gap configuration mechanism to ensure that a UE is capable of successfully receiving a signal from a neighboring cell.
