Time division multiplexing and wavelength division multiplexing hybrid distribution component and systems
Systems and assemblies for providing both cellular and passive optical local area network (POLAN) data signals along a single, shared fiber optic backbone within an in-building network architecture are provided herein. Systems include a headend unit that combines data signals from a cellular network and optical line terminal (OLT) onto the fiber optic backbone, which is then connected to a series of daisy-chained fiber optic assembly units. An example fiber optic assembly unit includes an asymmetric coupler that splits an input fiber optic signal from the fiber optic backbone into an output fiber optic signal and a throughput fiber optic signal that is fed back onto the continuing fiber optic backbone. The output fiber optic signal is filtered into dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) channels for providing data signals to a wireless or cellular network and further split into multiple passive optical network (PON) outputs for a local area network (LAN).
DARK FIBER DENSE WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SERVICE PATH DESIGN FOR MICROSERVICES FOR 5G OR OTHER NEXT GENERATION NETWORK
A dark fiber dense wavelength division multiplexing service path design microservice (ddSPDmS) can provide a scalable self-contained meta-data driven approach for a flexible implementation of a dark fiber dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) service path design solution. The service plan design solution can be used as a standalone solution or integrated with a network management application. In order to manage a large volume of circuit designs, multiple microservices can accept application program interface (API) requests in a cloud environment. Permission can then be given to any application to use the API to make a call to the design and inventory. Additionally, metadata templates can be designed to support a node, a link, and/or a topology for the microservices.

The optical gateway is operable to receive a plurality of signals from an optical communications network at a plurality of ports of the optical gateway, where each port of the optical gateway comprises one or more respective photodiodes. Further, the optical gateway is operable to determine, for each port, a respective link of the optical communications network communicatively coupling the port with at least one hub transceiver of the plurality of hub transceivers or with at least one edge transceiver of the plurality of edge transceivers, and an identity of the at least one hub transceiver or the at least one edge transceiver.
Method, apparatus and system for channel management in passive optical network
A method for channel management in an optical network unit includes receiving a disable channel action message sent by an optical line terminal, wherein the disable channel action message is used to instruct disabling a first channel of the optical network unit; transferring the state machine of the optical network unit on the first channel from the association substate of the operation state to the pending substate according to the disable channel action message; and turning off the transmitter and/or the receiver on the first channel after a specified time is reached, transferring the state machine from the pending substate of the operation state to the disabling channel status, and starting a timer.
