Disclosed are a method for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for performing synchronization signal by transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal includes: receiving, from a base station, a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS); and performing synchronization by using the received PSS and the received SSS, in which a sequence for the SSS may be generated by a product between a first sequence and a second sequence and the number of first sequences may be configured to be larger than the number of second sequences.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
The present invention discloses a method of transmitting an SSS (secondary synchronization signal), which is transmitted by a base station, in a wireless communication system. The method includes the steps of determining a first shift based on a first and a second cell identifiers for identifying a cell, and determining a second shift index based on the first cell identifier and transmitting the SSS using a first sequence which is generated based on the first shift index and a second sequence which is generated based on the second shift index. In this case, the first shift index can be determined as K times a value determined based on the first and second cell identifiers, where K is an integer equal to or greater than 3.

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for radio resource management (RRM) measurement and channel estimation. The method can include receiving first reference signals of a first system in a wireless communication network at a user equipment (UE), receiving second reference signals of a second system in the wireless communication network at the UE, receiving a quasi-co-location (QCL) configuration from one of the first system and the second system, the QCL configuration indicating the first reference signals and the second reference signals are quasi-co-located (QCLed) or co-located, and performing an RRM measurement and/or a channel estimation based on a combination of the QCLed first reference signals and second reference signals.
PARTIAL DISCRETE FOURIER TRANSFORM-BASED SEQUENCE DESIGN AND APPLICATION TO RANDOM ACCESS CHANNEL PREAMBLES
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a random access preamble to a base station as part of a two-step random access procedure. The UE may generate the preamble by identifying a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) matrix and generating a set of sequences based on the DFT matrix. Each sequence of the set of sequences may be generated by selecting a column of the DFT matrix and performing deterministic sampling of respective entries from the selected column in accordance with a sampling function. The UE may then select a sequence from the set of sequences based on generating the set of sequence. The UE may transmit the selected sequence to a wireless device (e.g., a base station).
