Interference management in wireless systems
Techniques for interference mitigation in a wireless communication system are disclosed. One example method includes receiving, at a first communication node, interference status information indicative of a remote interference between the first communication node and a second communication node and performing, by the first communication node, subsequent communications to the second communication node by implementing a backoff based on a granularity.
SYSTEM/METHOD OF ACCESS POINTS PROVIDING DIFFERING SERVICES TO A DEVICE
A system/method is disclosed wherein, according to some embodiments, an access point provides a first wireless service to a first device and further provides a second wireless service to a second device; wherein the access point provides the first wireless service to the first device responsive to a special access code that has been provided to the first device; wherein the access point further provides the second wireless service to the second device absent the special access code having been provided to the second device; wherein the first wireless service is more bandwidth intensive than, and differs from, the second wireless service; and wherein the second wireless service is provided to the second device using a 900 MHz band of frequencies.
SYSTEMS/METHODS OF AN AUXILIARY DEVICE FUNCTIONING IN COOPERATION WITH A DESTINATION DEVICE
Inventive concepts and embodiments associated therewith are provided wherein an auxiliary device, that is attached to a person, is configured to function in cooperation with a destination device that is on the person. In some embodiments, the auxiliary device is uniquely associated with specific information that is to be conveyed to the destination device following reception of a signal by the auxiliary device. Embodiments are disclosed wherein, following reception of the signal by the auxiliary device, the auxiliary device processes the signal and then conveys the specific information that is uniquely associated therewith to the destination device without direct human interaction with the auxiliary device. In some embodiments, the auxiliary device comprises a personal wearable device and the destination device comprises a smartphone.
Systems/methods of providing a processing capability to a first device by a second device
Inventive concepts and embodiments associated therewith are provided wherein a first device may solicit a processing capability from at least one second device that may be proximate to the first device. In some embodiments, the processing capability comprises receiving data by the at least one second device from the first device, processing the data and transmitting by the at least one second device a processed version of said data to a destination device. In some embodiments, the first device comprises a smartphone that is configured to perform operations comprising wirelessly soliciting the processing capability from the at least one second device. In some embodiments, the at least one second device comprises at least one smartphone and the destination device comprises a base station.

Indications of physical downlink control channel monitoring occasion aggregation via demodulation reference signal parameters
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a search space configuration that identifies one or more parameters associated with demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication. The UE may decode a PDCCH candidate associated with the PDCCH communication, based at least in part on the one or more parameters associated with the DMRSs, wherein the PDCCH candidate is aggregated over one or more PDCCH monitoring occasions. Numerous other aspects are described.
Transmission of Information in a Wireless Communication System
Methods, devices, and systems for the transmission of information in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for the transmission of information in a wireless communication system comprises receiving a downlink message, wherein the downlink message includes a first control channel element; determining a first index using the location of the first control channel element; determining a second index; determining a first orthogonal resource using the first index; determining a second orthogonal resource using the second index; spreading an uplink message using the first orthogonal resource to form a first spread signal; spreading the uplink message using a second orthogonal resource to form a second spread signal; transmitting the first spread signal using a first antenna; and transmitting the second spread signal using a second antenna.
System and Method for Network Access
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from a first base station, on a first carrier, a synchronization sequence (SS) and performing a radio resource management (RRM) measurement in accordance with the SS. The method also includes performing cell selection and mobility support in accordance with the RRM measurement, when the UE is in idle mode and generating an RRM measurement report in accordance with the RRM measurement and transmitting, by the UE to the first base station on the first carrier, the RRM measurement report, when the UE is in connected mode.
WAKE-UP SIGNAL DESIGN
Technology is disclosed for a user equipment (UE) operable for wake-up signal (WUS) communication in a fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) network. The UE can be configured to: identify a resource set for a WUS with a repetition level, wherein: the resource set for the WUS includes a mapping of the WUS that associates the WUS with one or more physical resource blocks and one or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, and the repetition level identifies a number of base sequences for the WUS in the resource set; and switch to a network access mode (NAM) from a power saving mode (PSM) based on a detection of the WUS in the resource set.
