The present invention is a barrage jammer with contoured amplitude and an associated method for barrage jamming with contoured amplitude.

In a standard prior art barrage jammer, the amplitude of the RF signal is independent from the ambient spectral environment.

Alternatively, in a barrage jammer according to the current invention, the ambient spectral environment is detected, processed, and a contoured amplitude plan is developed based on the ambient environmental spectrum data. The barrage jammer transmit signal is transmitted in accordance with the contour amplitude plan.

The invention is particularly useful when deployed in a Managed Access Service (MAS) system or as a jamming system. In particular, such a system can be used in a facility (such as a prison, school, government building, etc) to prevent cellphone usage.

Reconnaissance and communication assembly

According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a reconnaissance and communication assembly, adapted to be launched from a gun barrel into the air over a body of water. The assembly comprises a carrier (with a cavity) and a payload (within the cavity). The payload is arranged to be controllably expelled from the carrier and once expelled from the carrier, the payload is adapted to enter the water; and the payload transmits a signal after entering the water.

Switched transmit antennas with no feedback for multipath reduction
10320517 · 2019-06-11 · ·

A communication system is provided comprising a transmitter coupled to a switch, which is further coupled to at least two antennas for switching the transmit signal to one of the antennas, with no feedback. The communication system further comprises at least one receiver for receiving the transmitted signal. The communication system in the present invention is able to help mitigate the effects of multipath. Previous attempts to mitigate the effects of multipath suffer from various problems: increased complexity needed to measure channel parameters and a feedback loop to switch the transmit antenna based on the parameters. The system is particularly useful when deployed in a MAS system or a jamming system.

The sensor is configured to determine the presence of a component of the thermal detector and to generate a signal indicative of the presence of the component. The system also includes a beam emitter mounted to the at least one unmanned vehicle and in communication with the sensor. The beam emitter includes a beam source configured to direct a beam of thermal radiation to the thermal detector in response to the signal from the sensor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER USING TIME REVERSED ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE PROPAGATION

The subject method for delivering power to a moving target wirelessly via electromagnetic time reversal can find applications in wireless electrical transmission to portable devices, wireless heating of portable devices, novel wirelessly powered accelerometers, hyperthermic treatment of cancers, and many other applications. The subject non-linear time reversed electromagnetic waves based wireless power transmission (WPT) system targets either a single linear or non-linear object where a selective targeting between two diodes has been demonstrated simultaneously with different degrees of non-linearity in a three-dimensional ray-chaotic billiard model. A dual-purpose rectenna with harmonic generation for wireless power transfer by non-linear time-reversal has been designed for the subject system using the Schottky diode.

The directed energy device includes a first inductor configured to generate an inductive magnetic field that is able to inductively couple into one or more electronics of the UAV in order to disable or destabilize the UAV. The capsule can be configured to be launched towards the UAV and can include a loiter mechanism (such as a rotor, umbrella, or parachute) configured to maintain a position of the capsule or to slow a descent of the capsule after launch. The capsule can also be configured to be carried towards the UAV by a different UAV, and the apparatus can further include a tether coupling the capsule to the different UAV.

System and method for arresting and neutralizing unmanned vehicles

The use of shielded material in a deployable vehicle arresting and containment device that, when used for the interception of an unmanned vehicle, effectively achieves RF isolation of that vehicle, breaking all external communications with that vehicle. This apparatus, which may have internal and external antennas, could enable a variety of advanced effects such as localized GPS and command and control link spoofing and jamming as well as providing a vehicle for signal intercept and intelligence solutions. Additionally, due to the shielding properties of the arresting and containment device, semi-destructive means such as localized EMPs could be used to damage the encapsulated unmanned vehicle electronics.
