WIRELESS SOUND-EMITTING DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING A SOUND-EMITTING DEVICE
A wireless sound-emitting device includes a housing adapted to be coupled to a wall at a source of electric power, a loudspeaker positioned at a periphery of the housing, a control module outputting an electric audio signal to the at least one loudspeaker, and a wireless communications module in electrical communication with the control module. The loudspeaker emits acoustic signals in a direction parallel to the wall, when the housing is coupled to the wall, with the acoustic signals reflecting off the wall. The device may produce a sound masking noise or play a sound recorded on an internal memory. The device may include an electric plug or be adapted to replace an electric outlet faceplate. The device may have electric pass-through outlets and may be powered by the source of electric power. The device may be controlled remotely, for example via an Internet of Things (IoT) platform.
Steerable Loudspeaker System for Individualized Sound Masking
Apparatus having corresponding computer-readable media and methods comprise a steerable loudspeaker system configured to produce sound based on audio delivered to the steerable loudspeaker system; a masking audio source configured to generate individualized masking audio based on preferences of a listener, and to deliver the individualized masking audio to the steerable loudspeaker system; and a controller configured to steer the steerable loudspeaker system based on a position of a listener.

Biometrics-Based Dynamic Sound Masking
Apparatus having corresponding methods and computer-readable media comprises: a speaker configured to provide a masking sound to an individual; a biometric sensor configured to collect biometric data from the individual; and a controller configured to modify the masking sound based on the biometric data.
Cross-modality electromagnetic signature analysis for radio frequency persona identification
Systems and methods can support identifying multiple radio transmitters as being integrated within a single communications device. Radio frequency signals may be collected using one or more sensors incorporating radio receivers. A first radio frequency signature and a second radio frequency signature may be identified within one or more of the radio frequency signals as originating respectively from a first radio transmitter and a second radio transmitter. Characteristics of the first and second radio frequency signatures may be analyzed to evaluate a relationship between the first and second radio frequency signatures. It may be determined whether or not the first and second radio transmitters are integrated within a common wireless electronic device based upon the evaluated relationship between the first radio frequency signature and the second radio frequency signature. Characteristics and behaviors associated with the wireless electronic device may be determined therefrom.
LOW CAPACITANCE, SHIELDED, WATERTIGHT DEVICE INTERCONNECT
A shielded electronic array is provided and includes a main plate having opposing first and second major surfaces, first and second electronic devices disposed on respective first portions of the first and second major surfaces, respectively, a noise-shielding plate disposed on a second portion of the second major surface, an insulated eyelet, which is press-fittable into the main and noise-shielding plates and first and second wiring components. The first wiring component extends along a main plate plane from the second electronic device. The second wiring component extends from the first wiring component to the first electronic device and has an exposed first portion and a second portion extending through the insulated eyelet.
DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Automated systems and methods for evaluating specimens affixed to substrates, such as slides, an exemplary system including a slide imager configured for acquiring a plurality of micro images of a specimen affixed to an substrate, the specimen including a plurality of objects distributed within a three-dimensional volume, and for generating a whole specimen image of the specimen using the micro images, wherein objects contained in the specimen are depicted substantially in focus in the whole specimen image regardless of a z-depth of the respective objects within the specimen. The whole specimen image is stored on a storage medium for subsequent review by a cytotechnologist using a computer-controlled review station including a display and a user interface, wherein the review station user interface is configured such that the cytotechnologist can review and classify the stored whole specimen images.
