SECURE SHORT-RANGE COMMUNICATIONS LINK FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
Embodiments of communication systems are disclosed for protecting communication between an implanted device ID and an external device ED. Optionally, the ID communicates over the TET channel by modulating a load on the channel. While the ID is communicating the ED optionally adds noise to the TET channel, inhibiting malicious interception of the communication. Using knowledge of the noise signal, the ED cleans the noise from the TET signal to recover the communication from the ID. In some embodiments, the TET link is used to pass an encryption key and/or to verify communications over a radio channel. The TET channel may be authenticated. For example, authentication may include a minimum energy and/or power transfer.

In addition to this, the scheduling unit is configured to schedule a second subset of the wireless communication units for distributing the wireless communication with respect to the at least one user equipment on the basis of the radar sensing information.

The present disclosure relates to a controller (10) for a counter measure system against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the controller (10) comprising a display device (18) and a processor configured to: receive target position data indicative of a position of a target UAV; receive effector position data indicative of a position of at least one counter measure effectors (12, 14); receive effector orientation data indicative of an orientation of the at least one counter measure effector (12, 14) relative to geographic cardinal directions; determine a field of effect (30, 32) of the at least one counter measure effector on the basis of the effector position data and the effector orientation data, said field (30, 32) of effect being indicative of an area covered by electromagnetic radiation emitted, in use, by the at least one counter measure effector; and, generate a display signal for displaying, on the display device, the position of the target UAV with respect to the field of effect (30, 32) of the at least one counter measure effector (12, 14).
A HARDWARE COMPONENT AND A METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING A CAMOUFLAGE OF CURRENT TRACES GENERATED BY A DIGITAL SYSTEM
Implementing a camouflage of current traces generated by a hardware component having one or more set of digital elements defining a plurality of operational datapaths comprises adjusting (761) one or more working condition(s) of the hardware component, measuring (762) a reaction of the hardware component to the working condition(s) by a logic test circuit through processing data operations along a reference datapath having a minimum duration corresponding to at least the longest of the operational datapaths, and in response to detecting an error (763) along the reference datapath, modifying (764) the working condition(s) so that the error generated by the logic test circuit is cancelled. Applications to countermeasures to side-channel attacks.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTED SIGNAL MIMICRY
The disclosed invention uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for detecting and classifying radiofrequency (RF) transmissions to assemble a target signal library containing information about one or more target signals according to several criteria. A signal generator develops a mimic signal, designed to emulate a target signal based on information stored in the target signal library. In some embodiments, AI or machine learning (ML) algorithms further assist in refining the mimic signal to more effectively resemble the target signal. Such signal mimicry is done while maintaining small SWaP-C footprint for system component hardware.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTED SIGNAL SHAPING
The disclosed invention uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for detecting and classifying radiofrequency transmissions to model and simulate an RF environment. AI or machine learning (ML) algorithms further assist in determining optimal modulation, bandwidth and center frequency placement of a transmit signal to either fully and efficiently exploit unused spectrum in the RF environment, or to camouflage the signal to evade detection, and therefore interception while providing enough fidelity to the receiver to remain detectable. Such signal shaping is done while maintaining small SWaP-C footprint for system component hardware.
Signal processing apparatus and method, and program
A sound state estimating unit detects surrounding sound at a timing at which a notification to a destination user occurs. A user state estimating unit detects a position of the destination user and positions of users other than the destination user at the timing at which the notification occurs. An output control unit controls output of the notification to the destination user at a timing at which it is determined that the surrounding sound detected by the sound state estimating unit is masking possible sound which can be used for masking in a case where the position of the destination user detected by the user state estimating unit is within a predetermined area.
Automatic external RF gain calibration and continuous jamming measurement
A system and method provide automatic RF path gain calibration independent of RF interference levels to preserve solution trust capabilities. After a system is powered ON, or a new antenna is attached (hot swap), a smart antenna assembly combined with a jammer power estimator within an RF receiver functions to autonomously measure internal gains within the RF path, calibrate the new antenna installation, and thereby measure a level of interference associated with the external environment from that point forward. A controller commands the antenna calibration retrieving antenna details and RF path gain calibration while measuring local jamming at the receiver input. Should the controller determine a level of jamming effectiveness is present, it offers a user a display of the local jamming levels enabling the user accurate theater decision making regarding the accuracy and availability of desirable signal.

The disclosure concerns wireless communication systems, including, antenna systems and related methods, which are each directed to utilizing one or more multi-mode antennas for the purpose of varying a radiation pattern characteristic thereof to enhance network security and communication link between an access point and one or more client devices on a network.
