APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA AND CONTROL SIGNALS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20220294593 · 2022-09-15 ·

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting, to a base station, capability information of the UE, and receiving configuration information associated with a transport block size (TBS). The TBS is determined based on a value of N.sub.RE.Math.R.Math.Q.sub.m.Math.v. The N.sub.RE corresponds to a number of allocated resource elements, the R corresponds to a code rate, and the Q.sub.m corresponds to a modulation order, and the v corresponds to a number of allocated layers. A maximum value of the TBS is considered for transport block over multiple slots (TBoMS), and the maximum value of the TBS is determined by limiting at least one of a value of the N.sub.RE, the R, the Q.sub.m, or the v.

UE-ASSISTED GROUP RESPONSE FOR TWO-STEP RANDOM ACCESS PROCEDURE
20220295567 · 2022-09-15 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a random access (RACH) procedure, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a first RACH message (e.g., RACH Message A (MsgA)) to a base station, which may include an indication of a modulation order, a maximum number of repetitions for RACH Message B (MsgB) data, or both. The base station may multiplex random access responses (RARs) for UEs into second RACH messages (e.g., RACH MsgBs) based on the indication(s) and may transmit these RACH MsgBs. The UE may receive and decode a downlink control information (DCI) portion of a RACH MsgB but may determine not to decode the data portion of the RACH MsgB if an indication in the DCI of the modulation order, the threshold number of repetitions, or both does not match the value reported by the UE. Otherwise, the UE may decode the full RACH MsgB.

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus used at a base station side comprises a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to carry out control so as to carry out multiple-input multiple-output transmission by means of two or more transmitting and receiving points, and to send indication information to a user equipment, wherein the indication information is related to a scheme of mapping between a spatial multiplexing layer and a code word for transmission by means of two or more transmitting and receiving points.

SCHEMES AND METHODS OF INTEGRITY PROTECTION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION

This invention introduces methods and mechanisms of partial integrity protection in mobile systems. A user equipment (UE), comprising: a memory configured to store instructions; and a processor configured to execute the instructions to: receive, from a network device, user plane data having integrity protection; send an error indication indicating an integrity protection error relating to the user plane data; and receive retransmitted user plane data from the network device with a reduced data rate, based on the error indication.

Channel state information reporting for short transmission time intervals

Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A first CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a first duration and a second CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a second duration. A determination of whether to report CSI based on the first and/or second configuration may be made, and a CSI report may be transmitted based on the determination. In some cases, CSI for the first CSI reporting configuration is determined differently than CSI for the second CSI reporting configuration. For instance, the CSI reporting configurations may use different reference resources and/or reference signal resources when calculating respective CSI. In some cases, the first and second CSI reporting configurations may be configured as a first CSI process and a second CSI process, which may be operated either independently or jointly.

Selection of modulation and coding scheme

Techniques for indicating and/or selecting a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) are disclosed. A method for selecting the MCS may comprise receiving control information, identifying a change indicator, determining a first MCS based on the control information, and modifying the first MCS based on the change indicator to determine a second MCS.

The present invention provides a method executed by a user equipment UE, and the method comprises: a first step of determining and aligning the size of a downlink control information (DCI) format 0_0 monitored in a common search space (CSS) and the size of a DCI format 1_0 monitored in the CSS; a second step of determining and aligning the size of a DCI format 0_0 monitored in a UE specific search space (USS) and the size of a DCI format 1_0 monitored in the USS; and a third step of determining the size of a DCI format 0_1 monitored in the USS and/or the size of a DCI format 1_1 monitored in the USS and adjusting the determined size of the DCI format 0_1 monitored in the USS and/or the determined size of the DCI format 1_1 monitored in the USS, so that the adjusted size is neither equal to the aligned size of the DCI format 0_0 monitored in the CSS or the aligned size of the DCI format 1_0 monitored in the CSS, nor equal to the aligned size of the DCI format 0_0 monitored in the USS or the aligned size of the DCI format 1_0 monitored in the USS.

Discontinuous Reception for a Two-step Random Access Procedure

A wireless device receives, during a discontinuous reception (DRX) active time of a DRX operation of the wireless device, a response to a message that comprises a preamble and a transport block. A communication system utilizing reconfigurable antenna systems is described where beam steering and null forming techniques are incorporated to limit the region or volume available for communication with client devices. The communication system described restricts communication to defined or desired area and degrades signal strength coverage outside of a prescribed region. An algorithm is used to control the antenna system to monitor and control antenna system performance across the service area. This antenna system technique is applicable for use in communication systems such as a Local Area Network (LAN), cellular communication network, and Machine to Machine (M2M).
