Method and Apparatus for Generating a Channel State Information Report Adapted to Support a Partial Omission
20230254026 · 2023-08-10 ·

Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received. A plurality of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report are computed, where the entries of the CSI feedback report include at least a set of coefficients. Each coefficient is associated with a set of indices including at least one or more of a spatial domain basis index, a frequency domain basis index, and a layer index. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are arranged in an order known to both the user equipment and the network entity. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are prioritized using indices corresponding to the set of indices, where a subset of the set of indices are permuted based on predefined permutations of the subset of the set of indices.

Compact downlink control information messages

A method, network node and wireless device are disclosed. According to one aspect, a network node is configured to select between a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. The first mode of operation includes generating a first downlink control information (DCI) message having a first number of bits. The second mode of operation includes selecting or generating a second DCI message having a second number of bits less that the first number of bits in at least one of the following fields: a redundancy version (RV) field, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field and a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process field.

UPLINK CONTROL SIGNALING IN CELLULAR TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method, apparatus, and computer program for controlling allocation of control message fields in uplink transmission in a cellular telecommunication system are presented. Uplink control message fields are allocated to the resources of a physical uplink shared traffic channel according to an uplink transmission scheme selected for a user terminal. The control message fields are allocated so that transmission performance of the control messages is optimized for the selected uplink transmission scheme.

Method and Device for Communication in a Communications Network

The embodiments herein relate to a method in a user equipment (605) for communicating with a base station (603) in a communications network (600). The user equipment (605) is configured to communicate with the base station (603) according to a selectable of at least two user equipment categories. The user equipment (605) selects one of the at least two user equipment categories if information indicating the one of the user equipment categories is received from the base station (603). The user equipment (605) selects a default of the user equipment categories if no information indicating which of the user equipment categories is received from the base station (603). The user equipment (605) determines a soft buffer size according to the selected user equipment category. The user equipment (605) communicates with the base station (603) according to the selected user equipment category and applying the determined soft buffer size.

DOWNLINK CONTROL INFORMATION PIGGYBACK IN PHYSICAL DOWNLINK SHARED CHANNEL, DOWNLINK CONTROL INFORMATION ENCODING

A base station transmits a first downlink control information (DCI) portion in a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the first DCI portion indicates a second DCI portion. The base station jointly encodes multiple component DCIs, each of the component DCIs providing a resource allocation in combination with the first DCI portion. The apparatus transmits the second DCI portion comprising the jointly encoded multiple component DCIs in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).

Information adding method and apparatus

An information adding method and apparatus, to increase a quantity of terminals that can be represented by an identifier sequence. The method includes: performing, by a transmit end, polar code encoding on a first bit sequence to generate an encoded second bit sequence; adding, by the transmit end, a part or all of an identifier sequence to the second bit sequence to generate a third bit sequence, where the identifier sequence is used to identify a terminal; and sending, by the transmit end, the third bit sequence.

Method and apparatus for generating a channel state information report adapted to support a partial omission

Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received (1502). A set of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report is computed (1504). Each entry has a most significant bit, and one or more remaining bits, where an order of each of the entries in the CSI feedback report are arranged based upon a bit level classification of the entries (1508). A value of the most significant bit of each of the entries is identified, and the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a higher bit value have the remaining bits arranged in a group that is positioned in the CSI feedback report prior to a group of tire remaining bits of the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a lower bit value (1510).

Method and apparatus for detecting word boundary between codewords in data stream transmitted via data channel of high definition multimedia interface

A word boundary detection method includes receiving a data stream from a data channel of a high definition multimedia interface (HDMI), and performing pattern matching upon the data stream to identify a word boundary between two consecutive codewords transmitted via the data stream. Known codewords of scrambled control vectors are involved in the pattern matching.
