Wireless quiet enrolment
In a wireless media network a source device provides entertainment content to a sink device over a radio frequency (RF) wireless channel. The source device can go into a receive only quiet enrolment mode until activated by a sink device transmitting enrolment trigger packets or having a signal strength above a certain threshold, thereby improving coexistence with other wireless devices. The source device changes from the quiet enrolment mode to an active enrolment mode when activated by the sink device.

According to said method, stuff bits are inserted into the frame by the transmitter according to a predetermined rule in order to generate additional signal edges, and/or said stuff bits are removed again by the receiver when evaluating the frame, at least one item of information relating to a subsection of the frame additionally being added, and transmitted, outside of this subsection, and said subsection containing a predetermined sequence of bit values.

The method comprises: a receiving end determines that at least one protocol data unit (PDU) is not received between a first PDU and a second PDU; the receiving end determines a target time length of a timer according to the data type of the at least one PDU; the receiving end starts the timer and waits for the at least one PDU within the target time length. A method for detecting control information in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes checking a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) error by monitoring control channels, determining whether a value of an error check field is equal to a specific value, and, if the value of the error check field is equal to a specific value, detecting the control information on the control channel.

A first microwave backhaul transceiver may comprise a plurality of antenna elements. The transceiver may determine atmospheric conditions between it and one or more potential link partners, and adjust a radiation pattern of the plurality of antenna elements based on the determined atmospheric conditions. A first radiation pattern of the plurality of antenna elements may correspond to a first microwave backhaul link between the first microwave transceiver and a second microwave backhaul transceiver. A second radiation pattern of the plurality of antenna elements may correspond to a second microwave backhaul link between the first microwave transceiver and a third microwave backhaul transceiver. The transceiver may adjust the radiation pattern based on characteristics of data to be transmitted, and based on a routing table it maintains.
