Systems and Methods for Removal of Duplicated Packets for Transmission
According to certain embodiments, a method in a wireless device includes transmitting a protocol data unit (PDU) or segment of a PDU on a first link and transmitting the PDU or the segment of the PDU on a second link. One or more retransmissions of the PDU or the segment of the PDU are scheduled on the second link. A positive acknowledgment is received from a receiver. The positive acknowledgement indicates a successful receipt of the PDU or the segment of the PDU on the first link. In response to receiving the positive acknowledgement, the one or more retransmissions of the PUU or the segment of the PDU on the second link are cancelled.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LDPC TRANSMISSION OVER A CHANNEL BONDED LINK
A particular overall architecture for transmission over a bonded channel system consisting of two interconnected MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) 2.0 SoCs (Systems on a Chip) and a method and apparatus for the case of a bonded channel network. With a bonded channel network, the data is divided into two segments, the first of which is transported over a primary channel and the second of which is transported over a secondary channel.
SOFT FEC WITH PARITY CHECK
The present invention is directed to data communication systems and techniques thereof. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide an FEC encoder that processes an interleaved data stream and generates parity symbols that are embedded into FEC blocks. An FEC decoder determines whether to perform error correction based on the parity symbols. When performing error correction, the decoder selects a worst symbol from a segment of symbols, and the worst symbol is corrected. There are other embodiments as well.
Multi-member bluetooth device capable of avoiding signal interrupt
A multi-member Bluetooth device includes: a main Bluetooth circuit capable of bidirectionally communicating with a remote Bluetooth device through a first Bluetooth communication circuit; and an auxiliary Bluetooth circuit capable of communicating with the main Bluetooth circuit through a data transmission circuit. While the main Bluetooth circuit utilizes the first Bluetooth communication circuit to communicate with the remote Bluetooth device, the auxiliary Bluetooth circuit utilizes a second Bluetooth communication circuit to sniff packets transmitted from the remote Bluetooth device. When detected that the auxiliary Bluetooth circuit has missed packets transmitted from the remote Bluetooth device, the main Bluetooth circuit transmits missing packets of the auxiliary Bluetooth circuit to the auxiliary Bluetooth circuit through the data transmission circuit.
Method and device for adaptive streaming of multimedia data
The present disclosure discloses a method and a media device for adaptive streaming of multimedia data. The method comprises receiving, by a media device, a request for streaming a multimedia data, where the multimedia data is divided into a plurality of data packets, identifying one or more network interfaces available in the media device, allocating one or more data packets from the plurality of data packets, to the one or more network interfaces and requesting the one or more data packets of the multimedia data over the allocated one or more interfaces, for adaptively streaming the multimedia data on the media device.
Method and apparatus for processing packet in next-generation mobile communication system
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5.sup.th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of a terminal includes receiving packet duplication data radio bearer (DRB) configuration information from a base station, receiving a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including information indicating whether packet duplication has been activated from the base station, and determining whether to activate a packet duplication bearer based on the packet duplication DRB configuration information and the MAC CE.
Distortion cancellation
The present disclosure provides for distortion cancelled by receiving a collided signal comprising first and second signals carrying respective first and second packets; digitizing the collided signal into a first digital signal and decoding the first packet therefrom; calculating a digital linear interference component of the first packet on the second from an estimated signal re-encoding the decoded first packet; synthesizing an analog linear interference component from the digital linear interference component; determining a digital nonlinear interference component of the first packet on the second from the first digital signal; amplifying the collided signal to produce a second amplified signal; removing the analog linear interference component from the second amplified signal to produce a partially de-interfered signal; removing the digital nonlinear interference component from the partially de-interfered signal to produce a de-interfered signal; and decoding the second packet from the de-interfered signal.
Device for verifying data transmissions and method using the same
A device using parity for verification of data transmitted from a first device through a data line to a second device includes a processor and a memory. The data line includes first to fourth pins for transmitting data and fifth to eighth pins for transmitting parity information. The processor receives values of first to eighth pins, calculates sum of the values of combinations of the first to fourth pins for data and applies modular operations on results of the four combinations. Equality or non-equality with the parity values of the fifth to eighth pins is determined, and the second device is permitted to receive the data when the results correspond, the modular operation being a (mod 2) operation. A method applied to such device is also disclosed.
Data transmission using multiple channels with distinct data transmission protocols
Methods and apparatus for transmitting data is disclosed. Data to be transmitted is segmented into data packets. The segmented data packets are duplicated into multiple groups of data packets, which are then transmitted from a device at a transmitting end to a device at a receiving end using multiple transmission protocols in parallel. Each of a set of duplicated data packets is thus transmitted by one of the multiple transmission protocols. The data packet among each of set of duplicated data packets that is first received by the device at the receiving end is retained and other received data packets of the set of duplicated data packets are discarded. The disclosed methods and apparatus thus combine benefits of different transmission protocols. For example, the disclosed methods and apparatus help achieve both transmission integrity and timing.
PACKET CODING BASED NETWORK COMMUNICATION
A method for data communication between a first node and a second node includes forming one or more redundancy messages from data messages at the first node using an error correcting code and transmitting first messages from the first node to the second node over a data path, the transmitted first messages including the data messages and the one or more redundancy messages. Second messages are received at the first node from the second node, which are indicative of: (i) a rate of arrival at the second node of the first messages, and (ii) successful and unsuccessful delivery of the first messages. A transmission rate limit and a window size are maintained according to the received second messages. Transmission of additional messages from the first node to the second node is limited according to the maintained transmission rate limit and window size.
