Uplink control data transmission

Methods and systems for transmitting uplink control information and feedback are disclosed for carrier aggregation systems. A user equipment device may be configured to transmit uplink control information and other feedback for several downlink component carriers using one or more uplink component carriers. The user equipment device may be configured to transmit such data using a physical uplink control channel rather than a physical uplink shared channel. The user equipment device may be configured to determine the uplink control information and feedback data that is to be transmitted, the physical uplink control channel resources to be used to transmit the uplink control information and feedback data, and how the uplink control information and feedback data may be transmitted over the physical uplink control channel.

Message Rearrangement for Improved Wireless Code Performance

A system and method for permuting known and unknown message bits before encoding to provide a beneficial rearrangement of bits. Such a method can improve distance properties in the resulting subcode. In various embodiments, the structure of a beneficial rearrangement is dependent on the parameters of how known and unknown bits are grouped and on the specific type of code being used. Given these two parameters, the message bits can be rearranged to more efficiently leverage any apriori knowledge.

Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Feedback in Radio Systems

A wireless device receives one or more messages. The one or more messages indicate: a plurality of repetition values of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH); and a repetition threshold for the PSSCH. A sidelink control information is received. The sidelink control information schedules a transport block. The sidelink control information indicates a first repetition value of the plurality of repetition values. The transport block is received via the PSSCH. A determination is made, based on the first repetition value and the repetition threshold, to transmit an acknowledgment for the transport block. The acknowledgment for the transport block is transmitted.

Communication apparatus and retransmission control method

Provided is a wireless communication device. A PHICH reception unit determines whether a received signal in a PHICH region is an ACK signal or a NACK signal. When doing so, the PHICH reception unit does not receive a PHICH in a subframe in which a terminal monitors an E-PDCCH. A control signal reception unit outputs a retransmission prompting signal to a signal allocation unit when the signal outputted from the PHICH reception unit is a NACK signal and when a UL grant was not detected. Meanwhile, when a UL grant was detected, the control signal reception unit outputs the detected UL grant to the signal allocation unit. The signal allocation unit maps the transmission signal in accordance with the retransmission prompting signal and the UL grant and transmits the transmission signal from a wireless transmission unit.

Enhanced transmission time interval bundling design for machine type communications

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhanced transmission time interval (TTI) bundling design for machine type communications (MTC). A method for wireless communications by a wireless device is provided. The method generally includes determining a mapping of one or more uplink or downlink channels to one or more fixed bundling sizes, wherein each of the one or more fixed bundling sizes indicates a number of transmission time intervals (TTIs) over which a channel should be transmitted and processing transmission of the one or more uplink or downlink channels based on the mapping.

Communication apparatus, communication method, program, and communication system

A master includes a transmission and receiving unit that transmits and receives signals to and from a slave, and the transmission and receiving unit receives read data read out from the slave, and typically drives the second bit of a preamble transmitted/received subsequent to the read data. The master can notify the slave that communication is or is not interrupted at some midpoint, on the basis of the second bit of the preamble. The present technology can be applied to a bus IF that communicates pursuant to, for example, the specification of I3C.

Time division duplex wireless network and associated method using connection modulation groups

A wireless network is provided that includes a base station and subscriber stations that communicate with the base station using radio frequency (RF) time division duplex (TDD) signaling. The base station may establish medium access control (MAC) connections with each station. The base station monitors communications with the stations and, in accordance, assigns stations or MAC connections to modulation groups. The base station transmits signals on MAC connections or to stations in a modulation group in adjacent TDD slots within a TDD frame. The base station may receive access requests from the stations, evaluate traffic requirements for the stations, and determine a longest downlink portion for the stations. The base station then allocates downlink and uplink portions of a TDD frame according to the length of the longest downlink portion.

Method and apparatus for performing a HARQ feedback and retransmission

The present disclosure discloses a method for performing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, method comprises: receiving data units; performing group bundling on the data units, wherein at least one data unit is bundled into more than one groups; determining, according to decoding results of the data units in each of the groups, ACK/NACK information of corresponding groups; feeding back ACK/NACK information of different bundled groups to the transmitter. Compared with the prior art, according to the present disclosure, a receiver performs grouping on data units in a way of overlapping bundling, group is used as a unit for feedback of ACK/NACK information, thus feedback overhead of HARQ feedback is reduced, data amount of HARQ-transmitter error retransmission is significantly reduced and efficiency of error retransmission is improved. In addition, the present disclosure further provides an HARQ retransmission method.
