A communication system is disclosed in which a communication device and a base station initially communicate using a first bandwidth. The communication device monitors for control data transmitted, by the base station, using a first control resource set conveyed in the first bandwidth. The communication device and the base station switch to using a second bandwidth, wherein the second bandwidth is different to the first bandwidth, and the communication device monitors for control data transmitted, by the base station, using a second control resource set that is conveyed in the second bandwidth.

Method and apparatus for transmitting uplink signal

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and an apparatus for transmitting an uplink signal, which can efficiently utilize uplink frequency-selectiveness, thereby improving uplink spectral efficiency. The method includes: determining, by a first terminal device, an uplink multiple access scheme for an uplink control signal according to whether a time domain resource unit used for transmitting the uplink control signal is also used for transmitting uplink data; and transmitting, by the first terminal device, the uplink control signal by using the determined uplink multiple access scheme.

SELECTIVE SUB-BAND CHANNEL QUALITY INDICATOR REPORTING

A base station may transmit a set of CSI-RSs corresponding to a set of ports of a UE and the UE may perform a set of CQI measurements on each port and across each sub-band. The UE may select, for each CSI-RS resource that the UE measures, a set of M worst CQIs and may select a best CSI-RS resource based at least in part on a corresponding set of M worst CQIs for the CSI-RS resource. The UE may report the M worst CQIs for the selected CSI-RS resource. Alternatively, the UE may select, for each CSI-RS resource that the UE measures, a set of M worst CQIs and may select a worst CSI-RS resource. In this way, the UE enables the base station to select a DMRS port and/or an MCS to use for communication.

A method by a base station includes transmitting, via a first cell operating on a first component carrier, a first radio access network (RAN) profile indexing message to a user equipment (UE), the first RAN profile indexing message comprising a first plurality of Bandwidth Part (BWP) indices corresponding to a first plurality of BWP configurations, transmitting, via the first cell on a first resource block (RB) of a default BWP of the first component carrier, a first BWP index to the UE, the first BWP index corresponding to a first BWP configuration of the first plurality of BWP configurations. The at least one of the first plurality of BWP configurations includes a BWP index associated with the corresponding BWP configuration, and a frequency location of the corresponding BWP configuration, a bandwidth in the frequency domain, a transmission type, and one or more periodic resource allocations associated with the transmission type.

Uplink preemption in carrier aggregation/multi-connectivity mode

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to uplink preemption in certain systems, such as new radio (NR) systems, supporting carrier aggregation (CA) and/or multi-connectivity modes. A method for wireless communication, that can be performed by a user equipment (UE), generally includes receiving a resource assignment scheduling the UE for uplink transmission. The UE receives an indication to preempt uplink transmission on a portion of the assigned resources and determines whether to transmit on the remaining assigned resources. A method that can be performed by a base station (BS) generally includes receiving an indication from one or more UEs indicating, for each of a plurality of band combinations, a capability of the UE to transmit on a band when transmission on another band in the band combination is preempted and scheduling the one or more UEs for uplink transmission based on the indication.

Uplink transmission interruption

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a collision between a first uplink transmission and a second uplink transmission, wherein the first uplink transmission is a high priority uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission is a low priority uplink transmission; and cancel the second uplink transmission during a defined time period, wherein the defined time period has an end point based at least in part on a processing time and an offset, and a start point based at least in part on a triggering event for the first uplink transmission or a UE capability. Numerous other aspects are provided.

COMMUNICATION OF A TRANSPORT BLOCK ACROSS MULTIPLE COMPONENT CARRIERS

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless device may map a transport block (TB) across multiple component carriers (CCs) associated with at least one slot of time-frequency resources. The wireless device may transmit the TB based at least in part on mapping the TB. Numerous other aspects are described.

Uplink control signaling in cellular telecommunication system

A method, apparatus, and computer program for controlling allocation of control message fields in uplink transmission in a cellular telecommunication system are presented. Uplink control message fields are allocated to the resources of a physical uplink shared traffic channel according to an uplink transmission scheme selected for a user terminal. The control message fields are allocated so that transmission performance of the control messages is optimized for the selected uplink transmission scheme.

Communication and data processing in wireless communications

Wireless communications may be used to support data processing. A plurality of resources may be indicated for a wireless device to use to communicate and/or process data. Data may be received and processed based on groups of the plurality of resources to be used. For example, the plurality of resources to be used may be associated with different resource groups.
