11706068 · 2023-07-18 · ·

A method and apparatus for performing an initial access procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A low cost user equipment (UE) transmits a list of capabilities to a network, and receives a reject message from the network when at least one of the capabilities is not supported by the network. The list of capabilities may be transmitted during a random access procedure via a random access preamble on a physical random access channel (PRACH) or a message 3 on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The reject message may be received during the random access procedure a random access response or an acknowledge message for the message 3.

Apparatus and method for prioritization of random access in a multi-user wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to the prioritization of devices taking part in a multi-user random access wireless communication. Based on some known conditions, devices that comply with the conditions are given preferential treatment during the random access period. The preferential treatment may refer to the eligible devices being allowed to access more resource units during the random access, or it may also mean faster access to the medium during the random access. By taking advantage of the methods described in the present disclosure, it is possible to assign higher priority to selected frame types and/or device categories in a multi-user random access wireless communication system.

Method and apparatus for allocating resources to FDR-mode UE in a wireless communication system

A method for allocating resources by a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes configuring a Resource Block Group (RBG) dependent on whether a User Equipment (UE) operates in Full Duplex Radio (FDR) mode or Half Duplex (HD) mode, and allocating resources to the UE in units of the configured RBG. The RBG includes a plurality of Resource Blocks (RBs).

Methods and apparatus for wireless communication are provided. In aspects, a method of wireless communication is provided, including scheduling ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) communication in a first set of one or more portions of a self-contained wireless communication structure having a plurality of portions, and adjusting one or more (e.g., remaining) portions of the self-contained wireless communication structure subsequent the first set of one or more portions based on the scheduling. In aspects, the method further includes transmitting an indicator of the adjusting to one or more user equipments. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Ultra-reliable low latency communication with multiple transmission-reception points

The techniques described herein provide procedures at user equipment (UEs) for performing channel state information (CSI) reporting and sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions based on an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) block error rate (BLER) target and for reliably receiving PDCCH transmissions. For CSI reporting, a UE may be configured to generate a CSI report based on a BLER target and on received CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs), where the CSI-RSs may be transmitted on one or more groups of quasi co-located antenna ports. For SRS transmissions, a UE may be configured to transmit SRS based on an SRS configuration determined based on a BLER target. For receiving PDCCH transmissions, a UE may be configured to receive and combine DCI received from multiple base stations.

Method and Device For Providing Resource Status Information

The present disclosure relates to telecommunications. In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method, performed by a first network node, for providing resource status information to a second network node. The first network node controls a radio cell comprising a plurality of partitions. The method comprises determining a resource status information based on a ratio between a resource status associated to the radio cell and a resource status associated to at least one partition of the radio cell. The method further comprises transmitting, to the second network node, a resource status update message comprising at least one information element comprising the determined resource status information.

Shared-Cell Transmit/Receive Point Selection and Combining
20230014537 · 2023-01-19 ·

A method by performed by a network node operating as a Distributed Unit (DU) includes configuring a plurality of Transmit/Receive Points (TRPs) in a group of TRPs to transmit a plurality of signals in a multiplexed sequence to at least one wireless device. Each TRP in the group of TRPS is associated with a shared cell. The network node receives, from the at least one wireless device, a response signal. Based on the response signal, the network node determines at least one TRP from the group of TRPs for use in transmitting at least one additional signal to the at least one wireless device.

Narrow band radio frequency chain component carrier scheduling techniques

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for scheduling component carriers and one or more operations on a per NB RF chain basis. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring occurrences of a first number of operations to be performed for a plurality of component carriers (CCs) according to different periodicities, determining a second number of available narrow band (NB) radio frequency (RF) chains, and scheduling, on the available NB RF chains, up to the second number of the operations to be performed for the plurality of CCs based on a scheduling algorithm if the first number is greater than the second number.

MEASUREMENT METHOD, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK-SIDE DEVICE
20230014768 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A measurement method, a terminal, and a network-side device are provided. The measurement method performed by a terminal includes: performing a measurement operation on a first transmission node in Q transmission nodes in a case that a serving frequency of the terminal includes P transmission nodes, to obtain a first measurement result, where the Q transmission nodes are Q transmission nodes that allow measurement in the P transmission nodes; and sending a measurement report to a network-side device according to the first measurement result in a case that a measurement report triggering condition is met, where P is an integer greater than 1, and Q is a positive integer.

UCI MULTIPLEXING PROCEDURE FOR MULTIPLE OVERLAPPING CHANNELS AT DIFFERENT PHYSICAL LAYER PRIORITIES

Performing UCI multiplexing includes generating PUCCH resources Z at an L1 HP procedure and an L1 LP procedure. The L1 HP procedure and the L1 LP procedure results in a plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs, respectively. A modified procedure for Set Q to resources Z is performed with the plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs as inputs. The plurality of HP PUCCHs according to starting symbols is scanned to identify an earliest starting HP PUCCH. A PUCCH from the plurality of LP PUCCHs or HP PUCCHS that overlaps with the earliest starting HP PUCCH is collected. Inter-L1 priority multiplexing is performed on the earliest starting HP PUCCH and the collected PUCCH, which may result in a new HP PUCCH. The new HP PUCCH is inserted into the Set Q. The modified procedure is repeated until there is no overlap among the HP PUCCHs and the LP PUCCHs.
