The disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (for example, services related to smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety, etc.) based on a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. In an embodiment of the disclosure, a method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including information on an identifier to indicate a secondary cell (Scell), information on at least one bandwidth part (BWP) of the Scell, and information including first information on a first BWP to be used as dormant BWP among the at least one BWP and second information on a second BWP to be activated as non-dormant BWP from dormant BWP; receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a bitmap associated with a BWP activation of the Scell; and activating a BWP identified based on the identifier, the bitmap, and at least one of the first information or the second information. According to the disclosure, via a method by which a new dormant (or hibernation) mode may be operated in units of bandwidth parts (bandwidth part-level), a carrier aggregation technology can be rapidly activated, and a battery of a terminal can be saved.
Apparatus and method for selecting resources in wireless communication system
The disclosure relates to a pre-5.sup.th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The disclosure pertains to selection of resources in a wireless communication system. A method of operating a User Equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes acquiring configuration information of a plurality of sidelink resource pools and transmitting a sidelink signal to another UE using one resource pool among the plurality of sidelink resource pools. The plurality of sidelink resource pools may be configured within an equal Bandwidth Part (BWP).
Data transmission method, terminal device, and network device
This application provides a data transmission method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: receiving uplink resource configuration information including information about at least two uplink reference points, and one uplink reference point corresponds to one uplink carrier; and determining, based on the uplink resource configuration information, an uplink carrier on which an uplink transmission resource is located.
TRANSMIT POWER CONTROL CONFIGURATION FOR PHYSICAL UPLINK CONTROL CHANNEL REPETITION ACROSS MULTIPLE COMPONENT CARRIERS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling transmission of a first one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communications on a first component carrier and a second one or more PUCCH communications on a second component carrier, wherein the DCI includes information identifying a first transmit power configuration for the first one or more PUCCH communications and a second transmit power configuration for the second one or more PUCCH communications. The UE may transmit the first one or more PUCCH communications in accordance with the first transmit power configuration and the second one or more PUCCH communications in accordance with the second transmit power configuration.
