Treatment fields can be produced as part of a treatment plan that achieves a desired balance between field delivery time and dose based on machine parameters and knowledge, such as machine-specific beam production, transport and scanning logic, and/or a maximum treatment time value. The treatment parameters can be adjusted using a graphical user interface so that treatment time or dosimetry is prioritized. As a result, the overall treatment time is reduced, and hence treatment quality and patient experience are improved.

Systems and methods are disclosed for performing operations comprising: receiving first and second images depicting an anatomy of a subject; obtaining a segmentation associated with the first image; applying a trained neural network to estimate the adapted segmentation corresponding to the anatomy depicted in the second image, the trained network consisting of three sub-networks: a registration sub-network, generating an initial segmentation estimate representing a deformation of the segmentation associated with the first image to fit the anatomy depicted in the second image, a segmentation sub-network, generating a second initial segmentation estimate for the second image, and a third refinement sub-network, combining the two initial segmentations and generating a refined segmentation for the second image.

A system, medium, and method including obtaining a plurality of positions for multiple components defined by a plan; obtaining a set of constraints that express limitations for the multiple components at the plurality of positions, the constraints being applicable to a plan where the multiple components synchronously change their positions with time to traverse a prescribed sequence of the plurality of positions, at least one of the multiple components being further constrained to change its position over time by staying within a predefined tolerance to a predefined smooth function of position over time between different positions; determining a trajectory of position and a minimum duration in which the multiple components completely synchronously traverse the prescribed sequence of positions while satisfying the constraints for the multiple components; and generating a record of the determined trajectory of position and the minimum duration for the plurality of components.
X-RAY IMAGING SYSTEM WITH A COMBINED FILTER AND COLLIMATOR POSITIONING MECHANISM
A radiation therapy system includes an X-ray imaging system that is configured with a combined and simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism. In addition, an X-ray imager of the RT system is only positioned at a few discrete locations within a plane that is a fixed distance from the imaging X-ray source when generating X-ray images. As a result, for each of these discrete imaging positions, the simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism positions a specific collimator-filter combination in a specific location between the X-ray source and the imager.

Online angle selection in rotational imaging and tracking systems
A method of operating a radiation apparatus is described that selects at least a first angle and a second angle from the set of angles for a first rotation of the gantry. The method generates, using an imaging device mounted to the gantry, a first tracking image of the target from the first angle during the first rotation of the gantry. The method generates, using the imaging device, a second tracking image of the target from the second angle during the first rotation of the gantry. The method performs targeting tracking based on the first tracking image and the second tracking image.
Systems and methods for adjusting multi-leaf collimator
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for adjusting a multi-leaf collimator (MLC) in a treatment process according to a treatment plan or a portion thereof. The MLC may include at least one closed leaf pair in the treatment process. The method may include: for each of the at least one closed leaf pair, determining an offset for the closed leaf pair; and causing the at least one closed leaf pair to move based on the determined at least one offset before or during the treatment process.
