SOFTWARE-DEFINED SERVICE INSERTION FOR NETWORK FABRICS
This disclosure describes techniques for software-defined service insertion. The techniques include a method of configuring a network for service insertion. The techniques include processing a master policy correlating an endpoint group pair, of source endpoint group and destination endpoint group, to a service graph. The service graph indicates a template service chain, and the template service chain indicates an ordering of a plurality of services. Processing the master policy includes disaggregating the master policy into at least one location specific policy, each of the at least one location specific policy corresponding to a separate location in the network and including traffic steering directives corresponding to a portion of the plurality of services associated with the separate location. The techniques further include causing each of the at least one location specific policy to be stored in association with the separate location to which that location specific policy corresponds.

Terminal and synchronization control method among terminals
A terminal and a synchronization control method among terminals are provided. The method includes: a master controlling terminal establishing synchronization control connections with multiple controlled terminals respectively; the master controlling terminal delivering a unique authorization token held by the master controlling terminal to one controlled terminal among the multiple controlled terminals, to enable the current controlled terminal acquiring the authorization token to be capable of performing information interaction with the master controlling terminal for synchronization control processing. The solution can solve the problem of coordination interaction control between a master controlling terminal and multiple mutually independent controlled terminals, and avoid interaction conflict between the mutually independent controlled terminals. Moreover, the solution can further reduce the network bandwidth occupation and solve the problem of high network bandwidth occupation.
Broadcast information sending method, broadcast information receiving method, device, and system
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a broadcast information sending method, a broadcast information receiving method, a device, and a system, relate to the communications field, and are used to reduce system overheads, and improve coverage performance. The method provided by the embodiments of the present invention includes: sending, by a network device on a physical broadcast channel PBCH, PBCH information to user equipment UE, and sending, by the network device, the PBCH information in a specific radio frame in each period T of the PBCH, where the PBCH information only includes information about a system frame number SFN, and the period T is greater than one radio frame.
Method for node device to enter or exit power-saving mode and node device
A method for a node device to enter or exit a power-saving mode and a node device are disclosed. The method for a node device to enter a power-saving mode includes: the node device detecting characteristics of a reverse power supply signal provided by a customer premise equipment, and if a condition of entering a power-saving mode is satisfied, the node device entering the power-saving mode. The method for a node device to exit a power-saving mode includes: the node device in a power-saving mode exiting the power-saving mode after detecting that a customer premise equipment starts reverse power supply to the node device. The node device includes a reverse power supply unit, a power source unit, a control unit, and a transceiver unit.
Method for allowing control of the quality of service and/or of the service fees for telecommunication services
A method permitting the control of the service quality and/or service fees of telecommunication services in which several service nodes are involved. During the initiation and/or implementation of a communication service, an exchange of signaling data occurs between a communications terminal and at least two service nodes which are involved in the communication service. The control node detects whether the service data transmitted by the at least two service nodes relate to the very same communication service. Then the control node selects service data from the transmitted service data and uses these service data for controlling the service quality and/or service fees.
Reliable link quality estimation in multi-rate networks
Techniques are directed to using communication metric data associated with multiple modulation schemes to achieve a link quality metric that is representative of the link as a whole, across the multiple modulation schemes that may be employed on the link. A calculation of a link quality metric may be triggered by a network layer transmission attempt, with communication metrics accumulated at the link layer of the link. A filter used to calculate the link quality metric may be updated based on network layer transmission attempts, based on successful and/or unsuccessful transmissions at a Media Access Control (MAC) layer of the link. More generally, a calculation of link quality may be triggered by a higher layer transmission attempt while being calculated based on transmission attempts at a lower layer of the link.
Method, system, and controller for routing forwarding
A method for routing forwarding is provided. The method includes: a controller sends pre-generated routing flow tables to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) NodeB (eNB) and an Access Gateway (AGW) respectively; and the eNB and the AGW distribute data according to the received routing flow tables respectively. The controller sends the routing flow tables to the eNB and the AGW, so that the extended OpenFlow protocol can be applied to an Evolved Packet System (EPS), network upgrading cost is lowered, network upgrading can be simplified, and a network upgrading period can be shortened.
