Group-based policies for inter-domain traffic
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a data packet from a first host located in the first site, where the data packet may be destined to a second host located in a second site that may be different from the first site, determining that an identifier of a second group to which the second host belongs is not available at the first network apparatus, sending a request for an identifier of the second group to a second network apparatus, where the request may comprise an address of the second host, receiving a response comprising the identifier of the second group from the second network apparatus, determining that the second group is a destination group, applying one or more policies associated with the destination group to the data packet, and causing the data packet to be routed to the second host.
Communication control device and non-transitory computer readable medium
A communication control device includes: a processor configured to: acquire identification information of a communication terminal from the communication terminal that is authenticated by communication via a wide area communication network; and when the identification information is included in a storage storing an information set in which associated are (i) the identification information of the communication terminal and (ii) specific connection unit information indicating a specific connection unit that is predetermined for the communication terminal in a narrow area communication network different from the wide area communication network, perform control such that the communication terminal is connected to the specific connection unit as a connection destination of the communication terminal, based on the specific connection unit information of the information set including the acquired identification information.
Data packet traffic conditioning through multiple lossy data paths with forward error correction
Embodiments herein disclose conditioning traffic through multiple data paths of a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN). Some embodiments include monitoring available paths through an SD-WAN to reach a destination node, determining a quality score for packets to the destination node on a first path of the available paths, sending a data packet sequence to the destination node on the first path, generating a forward error correction (FEC) packet for the packet sequence, and sending the FEC packet to the destination node on a second path of the available paths in response to the quality score being less than a quality threshold.
Automating a Software-Defined Wide Area Network Policy for Internet of Things End Points
The present disclosure is directed to managing industrial internet of things end points and includes one or more processors and one or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media coupled to the one or more processors and comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause one or more switches to perform operations comprising: identifying a first end point using a protocol associated with the first end point, determining a classification for the identified first end point based on one or more attributes of the first end point, identifying one or more related end points having the classification in common with the first end point, segmenting the first end point with the identified one or more related end points, and applying one or more policies to the segmented first end point and the one or more related end points.
Methods and systems for dynamic spectrum arbitrage user profile management
A dynamic spectrum arbitrage (DSA) system includes a home subscriber server (HSS), a mobility management entity (MME), an eNodeB, a dynamic spectrum controller (DSC), and a dynamic spectrum policy controller (DPC). The DSC may receive resource allocation information from the DPC, and send updated information and instructions to the HSS. The HSS may be configured to receive information from the DSC, detect changes to HSS subscription information (e.g., user profile information), determine whether the changes affect the information managed/stored by an MME component, and send the detected changes to the MME component when the HSS determines that the changes affect the information managed/stored by the MME. The MME component may use the information included in the received messages to add, remove, or modify the MME's stored subscription information or user profile information. The MME component may then communicate these updates, additions, or changes to the HSS component.
AUTONOMOUS DISTRIBUTED FORWARDING PLANE TRACEABILITY BASED ANOMALY DETECTION IN APPLICATION TRAFFIC FOR HYPER-SCALE SD-WAN
Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for detecting and remediating anomalies in an SD-WAN that includes a controller, an enterprise datacenter, and multiple branch sites each having at least one edge node that includes a set of packet processing stages. At the controller, the method receives from a particular node of a particular branch site a flow notification indicating detection of an anomaly on the particular node. Based on the anomaly, the method dynamically generates trace monitoring rules that specify one or more flows to be traced and provides the trace monitoring rules to the particular node and at least one other node of another branch site. From the particular node and the at least one other node, the method receives trace monitoring results collected in response to the provided trace monitoring rules, and analyzes the results to identify any anomalies and dynamic actions to correct the anomalies.
Apparatus, system, and method of elastically processing message information from multiple sources
Elastic message tracking apparatus and methods are provided that opportunistically improve on the latency of a message processing system and increase the accuracy of a consolidated message stream generated from message streams received from multiple message sources. The elastic message tracking apparatus and methods reduce that latency in situations where the actual latency of all the message streams is lower than a predetermined latency value.
Methods and apparatus for providing adaptive private network database schema migration and management processes
System and techniques are described which apply a method for automatic database schema migration. An initial database is installed, according to rules that define tables of data, in an adaptive private network (APN) having a centralized management system including a network control node (NCN) coupled through the APN to a plurality of client nodes, wherein the NCN provides timing and control to the client nodes. An update to the initial database is received, wherein the initial database includes a first table of data stored in a first set of columns and the updated database includes a modified first table having a second set of columns that has a different number of columns as compared to the first table is automatically detected. One or more columns from the second set of columns that are different than the first set of columns are updated for data content.
Wireless communications using flexible channel bandwidth
An apparatus that communicates in a mobile radio communications network, comprises signal-processing circuitry for provisioning a consecutive series of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) subcarriers for uplink or downlink communications; provisioning a plurality of different selectable subcarrier spacings for the consecutive series of OFDM subcarriers; performing discrete Fourier transform (DFT) coding on a plurality of data symbols to produce DFT coded symbols; and performing an inverse-DFT on the coded symbols to produce a single-carrier frequency division multiple access signal that comprises a sum of the consecutive series of OFDM subcarriers. The single-carrier frequency division multiple access signal is provided with a particular one of a set of different symbol periods by selecting one of the plurality of different selectable subcarrier spacings.
