The base station may comprise a second antenna connected to a second transceiver, the first multiplexer, and the second multiplexer. The base station may comprise a first circulator connected to the first transceiver and the first multiplexer. The base station may comprise a second circulator connected to the second transceiver and the first multiplexer. The base station may comprise a third circulator connected to the first transceiver and the second multiplexer. The base station may comprise a fourth circulator connected to the second transceiver and the second multiplexer.
Interface for bridging out-of-band information from a downstream communication link to an upstream communication link
A device includes a first interface to receive a signal from a first communication link, wherein the receive signal includes out-of-band (OOB) information. A detector coupled to the first interface detects the OOB information. An encoder coupled to the detector encodes the OOB information into one or more symbols (e.g., control characters). A second interface is coupled to the encoder and a second communication link (e.g., a serial transport path). The second interface transmits the symbols on the second communication link. The device also includes mechanisms for preventing false presence detection of terminating devices.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING AN AMPLIFIER OF A COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE
Embodiments of a method and a system controlling an amplifier of a communications device are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for controlling an amplifier of a communications device involves checking for a data reception at the communications device and freezing a gain of the amplifier if the data reception is detected.
Packet detection and bandwidth classification for variable-bandwidth packets
A receiver receives packets without prior knowledge of their bandwidths. The receiver calculates a first auto-correlation function for a first channel, a second auto-correlation function for a second channel, and a dot product of the first auto-correlation function and the second auto-correlation function. A packet is detected and its bandwidth classified based at least in part on the dot product.
MITIGATING PASSIVE INTERMODULATION INTERFERENCE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
Interference (I.sub.1, I.sub.2) is mitigated in a waveform received at the input of a receiver in a wireless network, the interference comprising passive intermodulation PIM products of at least a first signal (C.sub.1). A first stream of time samples (5) is generated of a simulated first PFM product of at least the first signal (C.sub.1), and a second stream of time samples (6) is generated of the simulated first PIM product. The second stream has a delay with respect to the first stream. A replica (8) is generated of the interference by processing (7) at least the first stream and the second stream, the processing comprising reducing a degree of correlation between the first stream and the second stream, and the replica of the interference is combined with a stream of time samples of the received waveform (40) to reduce the interference in the received waveform.
Integrated circuit device, electronic device and method for frequency detection
An integrated circuit comprises a frequency detector. The frequency detector comprises a timer state machine unit operably couplable to a timer and arranged to receive an incoming carrier signal; determine whether the incoming carrier signal comprises a valid frequency; generate a valid carrier indication when the incoming carrier signal is determined as having a valid frequency; and adjust the timer between at least a first timing mode of operation and a second timing mode of operation of the frequency detector in response to the determination.
INJECTED BLOCK CODE DISTORTION
Methods, systems, and apparatus for automatically injecting symbol errors into a data stream prior to transmitting the data stream for timing recovery robustness are disclosed. In one aspect, a first telecommunications device determines that a data transition rate of a data stream exceeds a pre-specified rate. In response to the determination that the data transition rate exceeds the pre-specified rate, the first telecommunications device injects symbol errors into the data stream prior to transmitting the data stream to a second telecommunications device. The pre-specified rate is based on at least a nominal passband of the second telecommunications device.
Interface with variable data rate
A device includes a transmitter coupled to a node, where the node is to couple to a wired link. The transmitter has a plurality of modes of operation including a calibration mode in which a range of communication data rates over the wired link is determined in accordance with a voltage margin corresponding to the wired link at a predetermined error rate. The range of communication data rates includes a maximum data rate, which can be a non-integer multiple of an initial data rate.
Link establishment between a radio equipment controller (REC) and radio equipment (RE) in a fronthaul network
Techniques that provide link establishment between a radio equipment controller (REC) and a radio equipment (RE) in a fronthaul network are described herein. In one embodiment, a method includes performing, Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) Layer 1 (L1) link auto-negotiation operations to establish a CPRI link between the REC and RE. A proxy slave may achieve a hyper frame number (HFN) synchronization with the REC at a link bit rate for a first CPRI bit stream and communicate the first CPRI bit stream and the link bit rate to a proxy master. The proxy master may communicate a second CPRI bit stream to the proxy slave to transmit to the REC. The L1 link auto-negotiation operations are completed and CPRI link is established between the REC and the RE when the REC achieves a HFN synchronization for the second CPRI bit stream.
Method for Adjusting Transmission Rate, Processor, Network Device, and Network System
A method for adjusting a transmission rate includes obtaining first data at a first rate; and sending the second data at a second rate, where the second data comprises the first data and a specific proportion of additional data, the second rate is greater than the first rate.
