Method for carrier frequency and time offset estimation for mobile communications equipment
A method of performing carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation and/or time offset (TO) estimation at a radio equipment in a mobile communications system. The method allows, for each of a plurality of synchronization signal (SS) blocks (SSBs) in a SS Burst detected at said radio equipment, determining a CFO estimation and/or a TO estimation based on network information signal prediction. The method includes selecting at least some of said detected SSBs in said SSB Burst and combining the CFO estimations and/or the TO estimations to obtain improved CFO compensation and/or TO compensation for signal processing at said radio equipment.
Method and apparatus for transmitting PLCP frame in wireless local area network system
A method of transmitting a Physical Layer Convergence Procedure (PLCP) frame in a Very High Throughput (VHT) Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system includes generating a MAC Protocol Data Unit (MPDU) to be transmitted to a destination station (STA), generating a PLCP Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) by adding a PLCP header, including an L-SIG field containing control information for a legacy STA and a VHT-SIG field containing control information for a VHT STA, to the MPDU, and transmitting the PPDU to the destination STA. A constellation applied to some of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) symbols of the VHT-SIG field is obtained by rotating a constellation applied to an OFDM symbol of the L-SIG field.

Bit slicer circuit for S-FSK receiver, integrated circuit, and method associated therewith
An integrated circuit includes a bit slicing circuit with a processing circuit. The processing circuit receives discrete frequency power estimates based on an S-FSK waveform received by an S-FSK receiver associated with the bit slicing circuit. The discrete frequency power estimates are representative of digital logic levels in a series of data frames modulated using S-FSK to form the S-FSK waveform. Each data frame including at least one word. Each word includes bit periods. The processing circuit receives SNR parameters that represent a dynamic SNR for the respective discrete frequency power estimates in relation to the series of data frames. The processing circuit selects a bit slicing technique from a set of available bit slicing techniques to generate data bit values for bit periods of the discrete frequency power estimates based on the SNR parameters. A method for performing bit slicing in an S-FSK receiver is also disclosed.

RADIO TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND METHODS
A radio transmission apparatus determines information indicative of an estimated communications channel condition and generates a single modulation signal or a plurality of modulation signals based on the estimated communications channel condition information. The single modulation signal is transmitted from a first antenna of a plurality of antenna or the plurality of modulation signals are transmitted from the first antenna and at least a second antenna of the plurality of antenna. The plurality of modulation signals include different information from each other and are transmitted over an identical frequency band and at an identical temporal point. The single modulation signal and the plurality of modulation signals contain parameter information indicating a number of modulation signals transmitted at the same time.

Signal generation method, transmission device, reception method, and reception device
A signal generation method is used in a transmission device that transmits a plurality of transmission signals from a plurality of antennas at the same frequency and at the same time, in the case where larger power change is performed on a first transmission signal than on a second transmission signal during generation process of the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal, the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal are mapped before the power change such that a minimum Euclidian distance between possible signal points for the first signal is longer than a minimum Euclidian distance between possible signal points for the second signal.

Automatic gain control (AGC) for multichannel/wideband communications system
Automatic Gain Control (AGC) system for multi-channel signals attenuates an incoming multi-channel signal by providing a gain. The system further adjusts each individual channel, of the multi-channel signal, by supplying a second gain if needed. The AGC system is designed to ensure a received signal power is at an optimal level for analog to digital conversion or any other form of signal processing. The system also enables elimination of mid-packet gain adjustments.
