Uplink failure rebalancing
Embodiments herein facilitate the modification of data traffic load balancing on information handling systems affected by a networking information handling system having the status of one or more of its uplinks changed from operable to inoperable or from inoperable to operable. In one or more embodiments, an agent operating on or in conjunction with a networking information handling system (e.g., a TOR) detects a change in one its links. The agent sends a message to information handling system(s) (e.g., hosts) that are communicatively coupled to the TOR regarding the change in status. Based upon the TOR's message, a host may adjust its traffic load balancing to compensate for the status change. Embodiments, therefore, help efficiently utilize network pathways.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING BANDWIDTH CONGESTION CONTROL IN A PRIVATE FABRIC IN A HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT
Systems and methods for providing bandwidth congestion control in a private fabric in a high performance computing environment. An exemplary method can provide, at one or more microprocessors, a first subnet, the first subnet comprising a plurality of switches, and a plurality of host channel adapters, wherein each of the host channel adapters comprise at least one host channel adapter port, and wherein the plurality of host channel adapters are interconnected via the plurality of switches, and a plurality of end nodes. The method can provide, at a host channel adapter, an end node ingress bandwidth quota associated with an end node attached to the host channel adapter. The method can receive, at the end node of the host channel adapter, ingress bandwidth, the ingress bandwidth exceeding the ingress bandwidth quota of the end node.

FLOW RATE CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a flow rate control method and apparatus. The flow rate control method in this application includes: receiving N explicit congestion notification packets CNPs from a first device, where the N CNPs correspond to a first data flow, and N is a natural number; and sending M CNPs to a second device based on the N CNPs, where the M CNPs correspond to the first data flow, and M is an integer greater than N. This application resolves a problem that rate increase processing is still performed on a data flow when the data flow is congested.
Resource measurement and management
Aspects of the disclosure relate to measuring and managing data traffic in one or more networks. In some embodiments, a monitor may measure the traffic at one or more locations within the network(s) or devices associated therewith to determine whether the traffic exceeds a threshold. When the traffic exceeds the threshold, one or more actions may be taken, such as issuing or transmitting a command or directive. The command or directive may advise a device or an application to throttle or reduce an input or stimulus responsible for generating the traffic. In some embodiments, a throttling may be effectuated to reduce the data traffic.

Systems and methods for operating a media transmission network
Systems and methods are provided for operating a media transmission network. The system includes at least one destination device for receiving a plurality of media streams from a plurality of source devices. The system further includes a controller that is configured to, for each media stream of the plurality of media streams: determine a media property adjustment for the media stream based at least on the media stream; identify a source device from the plurality of source devices associated with generating the media stream; determine at least one device setting for the identified source device to apply the media property adjustment to the media stream; generate a control packet for configuring the identified source device based on the at least one device setting, the control packet including the at least one device setting; and transmit the control packet to the identified source device.
