DATA FLOW TRANSMISSION METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM
The present invention relates to the communications field, and discloses a data flow transmission method, a device, and a system, so as to resolve a problem of resource waste caused when a relay user equipment provides a relay service for a remote user equipment. A specific solution is as follows: A first network device triggers a first relay user equipment to establish a common data flow bearer with a second network device, and the first network device sends an identifier of a common data flow to a remote user equipment in a first group before or after the first network device triggers the first relay user equipment to establish the common data flow bearer with the second network device. The present invention is applied to data flow transmission.
Determining noise levels in electronic environments
Various approaches discussed herein enable establishing a wireless data connection between one or more devices. A signal to noise ratio (SNR) is determined for the wireless connection, based on an estimate of internal noise associated with a wireless networking component. Another SNR determination is then made, using data such as a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) index value corresponding to the connection, and the difference between the two SNR determinations may be utilized to determine a noise estimate that takes both internal and external noise into account and is utilized as part of baseband signal demodulation.
Method and apparatus for dynamic bandwidth allocation for optimizing network utilization
An apparatus is configured to receive at a time a datum associated with use of a network by a set of compute devices using the network. The apparatus is also configured to calculate at least one threshold value based, at least in part, on the datum and a bandwidth capacity of the network at the time. The apparatus is also configured to receive a usage value associated with bandwidth use of a compute device from the set of compute devices and associated with a time period immediately preceding the time. The apparatus is further configured to compare the usage value with the at least one threshold value to determine a usage category associated with the compute device. The apparatus is configured to limit bandwidth use of the network for the compute device based on the usage category.
CONGESTION AVOIDANCE IN A NETWORK DEVICE
A network device receives a packet is received from a network, and determines at least one port, among a plurality of ports of the network device, via which the packet is to be transmitted. The network device also determines an amount of free buffer space in a buffer memory of the network device, and dynamically determines, based at least in part on the amount of free buffer space, respective thresholds for triggering ones of multiple traffic management operations to be performed based on the packet. Using the respective thresholds, the network device determines whether or not to trigger ones of the multiple traffic management operations with respect to the packet. The network device performs one or more of the traffic management operations with respect to the packet determined to be triggered based on the corresponding one of the respective thresholds.
System and method for dynamically managing message flow
System and method for dynamically managing message flow. According to the example embodiments, an intermediary network device or a client device dynamically manages the flow of messages received from an electronic exchange by analyzing the client device's capabilities, such as CPU utilization. Based on a percentage of total CPU utilization, the level of throttling is dynamically adjusted, such that if the percentage of CPU utilization, or load, increases, then throttling is increased from a lower level to a higher level. Similarly, if the percentage of CPU utilization decreases significantly enough, then throttling is decreased to a lower level.
Method and devices for domain name bandwidth adjustment
The present disclosure provides a method and related devices for domain name bandwidth adjustment. The method includes: receiving domain name bandwidth information reported by each on-site bandwidth management server and based on the domain name bandwidth information, determining a target domain name having the domain name bandwidth exceeding a specified bandwidth threshold; determining a to-be-adjusted bandwidth corresponding to the target domain name, and allocating the to-be-adjusted bandwidth among a plurality of sites; determining a bandwidth control threshold of the target domain name for the corresponding site; and generating a flow control instruction containing the bandwidth control threshold, and sending the generated flow control instruction to the on-site bandwidth management server at the corresponding site, where the on-site bandwidth management server adjusts the domain name bandwidth of the target domain name in each node server at the site.
Method and a media device for pre-buffering media content streamed to the media device from a server system
The present disclosure relates to a method and a media device for pre-buffering media content streamed to the media device from a server system. The media device is connected to a network and has a rechargeable battery. The media device determines, by means of a bandwidth logic, an available network bandwidth and, by means of a charging logic, a charging level of the rechargeable battery. Based on these determinations, i.e. based on the determined available network bandwidth and the determined charging level of the rechargeable battery the media device selects a pre-buffering policy, by means of a pre-buffering logic, and pre-buffers media content, by means of the pre-buffering logic, from the server system in accordance with the selected pre-buffering policy.
Procedures, apparatuses, systems, and computer program products for adaptive tunnel bandwidth by using software defined networking
A procedure for managing network traffic, and a system that operates in accordance with the procedure. Performance monitoring data is received from multiple network elements that define one or more paths along a network tunnel. The performance monitoring data includes data on network utilization. There is a detection of whether network utilization through the network tunnel exceeds an overflow threshold or an underflow threshold based on the performance monitoring data. A new path and new network elements are determined for the network tunnel, and instructions are transmitted to the network elements on the network to implement the new path.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ANALYZING COMMUNICATION QUALITY, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for analyzing communication qualities between virtual machines serving as transmission sources and virtual machines serving as transmission destinations on a virtual network includes identifying, by a computer, based on the temporal sequence of the input queue information and the temporal sequence of the output queue information, a first pair and a second pair as mirroring targets, wherein the input queue information indicates a first queue length indicating a number of pieces of data addressed from one of the transmission sources to one of the transmission destinations, wherein the output queue information indicates a second queue length indicating a number of pieces of data included in an output queue of the one of the transmission destinations.
