The roping harness comprises a pair of leg loops and a suspension point. The suspension point comprises: distinct first and second rings, a connecting part fixed continuously to the two distinct rings, the connecting part mechanically connecting the two distinct rings with the pair of leg loops, a closed metal connector provided with a rod. The two rings are separated from one another by a first distance in a first direction and define an empty space between a first lateral surface of the first ring and a second lateral surface of the second ring. The two rings are arranged so as to allow fitting of the rod of the connector in the two rings. The rod presents a longitudinal axis coinciding with the first direction. The rod is fitted movable in rotation in the two rings and the connector is mounted movable in rotation around the rod.

A system of a combined climbing harness and medical tourniquet, and a method for using the system. A looped thigh strap portion of a climbing harness is detachable from the harness belt for separate alternative use as an emergency tourniquet for the user or a patient. The looped thigh strap is provided with features and components to facilitate its use as a functional tourniquet for either an arm or a leg, while nevertheless in ordinary use allowing it to serve as a component of a climbing harness.

COUPLER FOR A FALL PROTECTION DEVICE

A coupler to couple a D-ring from a harness to a fall arrest device connector provides walls to guide and contain the harness webbing whilst allowing it to move freely (reducing webbing wear) and does not necessitate the removal of the coupler, connector, or D-ring as may be required for harness size adjustment. The coupler has a circular passageway which runs through the length allowing a shaft of the connector to couple to the part whilst maintaining 180 degrees of swivel. The coupler also has a groove which runs along the length to fit onto a central bar of the harness D-ring. The design is such that, during a fall, should the device break, the webbing will remain securely coupled to the D-ring of the harness.

Ratcheting strap adjuster

A ratcheting strap adjuster comprising a bracket, a webbing plate, and one or more captive members. The webbing plate is rotatably coupled to the bracket. Each of the one or more captive members is moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the one or more captive members restrict rotation of the webbing plate in one direction when the one or more captive members are in the engaged position and allow rotation of the webbing plate in the one direction and in an opposite second direction when the one or more captive members are in the disengaged position.

SAFETY HARNESS DEVICE

A connector includes a frame having a first end, a second end, and a pass-through opening extending between the first end and the second end along a longitudinal axis of the frame. The connector further has a gate positioned between the first end and the second end of the frame and movable between a closed position to close the pass-through opening and an open position to open the pass-through opening. A locking mechanism selectively locks the gate in the closed position. The locking mechanism has a rotatable knob connected to at least one of the first end and the second end of the frame and rotatable in a direction about the longitudinal axis, and a locking indent on the gate configured for receiving at least a portion of the rotatable knob when the gate is in the closed position. The rotatable knob is rotationally biased by a biasing mechanism.
