A belt of a roping harness having a flexible knit support strip designed to support the dorsal part of a user, an adjustment device of the circumference of the belt having first and second ends fixed to the support strip in first and second positions, and at least three resistance threads each sewn onto the adjustment device in specific third and fourth positions. At least one of the resistance threads presents a larger length than the distance separating its third and fourth positions along the support strip. The belt includes guidelines formed by a knit fabric which secure the resistance threads with the support strip in separated manner from one another in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the support strip. The roping harness comprises a pair of leg loops having similar features.

A harness adjustment device for adjusting a length of webbing includes a toothed rotational member including a spool structured to receive the webbing and an end portion including teeth disposed at an end of the spool, the toothed rotational member being structured to rotate to draw in or let out the webbing, and an engagement mechanism having an engagement portion. The engagement portion is structured to move between a first position in which the engagement portion abuts against the toothed rotational member between at least two of the teeth and prevents rotation of the toothed rotational member, and a second position in which the engagement portion is separated from the toothed rotational member and allows rotation of the toothed rotational member.

Harnesses for use by a person at height are disclosed. A harness includes a plurality of flexible harness elements, each of which, when in use, encircles part of a user's body. Some or all of the harness elements include a connection piece. A bridge extends between a respective connection piece of two or more harness elements, the bridge extending across a part of a user's body. A connection assembly is connected to the bridge to convey at least part of a user's weight from the harness to a support element. The connection assembly has a coupling element that at least partially surrounds and that can move along the bridge and is capable of loading the bridge at spaced-apart locations. This provides comfort without the need to include any elongate, rigidly-attached component, the presence of which could reduce the flexibility of the harness.

Web harness waist pad belts

A web harness belt includes multiple layers. A first elastomer layer portion and a second elastomer portion each connected to a ballistic material layer of the multiple layers. The first elastomer layer portion and the second elastomer layer portion each including multiple belt configuration slots.

Harness connector

Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a full body harness that includes a connector. The connector includes a first plate and a second plate, where the first plate is identical to the second plate. The first plate and the second plate includes a plurality of slits to facilitate passage of a first harness and a second harness therethrough. The first plate is rotatably coupled to the second plate such that they are rotatable with respect to each other. Such a connector automatically enables easy adjustment of the harness based on an activity of a user who is wearing the harness.
