Methods, systems, and apparatuses for ensuring safety of a worker are disclosed. The system includes a first fastener configured to secure two or more ends of a harness around the user, a first sensor unit attached to the first fastener, the first sensor unit configured to generate a first signal when the first fastener is in a locked position, a tether attached to a portion of the harness, the tether configured to tether the user to a stationary or movable object, and a second fastener attached to one end of the tether, the second fastener configured to secure the one end of the tether to the stationary or movable object, a second sensor unit attached to the second fastener, the second sensor unit configured to generate a second signal when the second fastener is in a locked position, and a controller unit wirelessly connected to the first sensor unit and the second sensor unit, the controller unit configured to generate a third signal when the first or the second signal is not received by the controller unit within a predetermined period of time.

FALL ARREST CONNECTOR

A fall arrest connector is used to connect at least a safety belt with a snap hook and a wearable harness for a user to wear. The fall arrest connector includes a retaining ring, a buckle ring, and a breakable connection. The retaining ring, including the first connecting portion, is connected to the wearable harness. The buckle ring, including the second connecting portion, is hooked by the snap hook. The breakable connection connects the second connecting portion and the first connecting portion. When the retaining ring or the buckle ring is pulled by a predetermined external force, the breakable connection is broken to separate the first and the second connecting portion. The retaining ring and the buckle ring could respectively be connected to the substitute protection device, which could provide the user an instant protection when the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are separated.

APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING A PERSON AT HEIGHT
20210393998 · 2021-12-23 ·

An apparatus for supporting a person working at height includes a harness and seat assembly. The seat assembly includes a supporting platform, flexible connection members secured to the platform, and a connector on each flexible connection member. The harness has two forward connection arrangements and a flexible load-bearing member extending between the forward connection arrangements, the forward connection arrangements transferring load from the back and the leg loops to the load-bearing member. Each forward connection arrangement includes a body permanently connected to the harness and a retainer to secure the flexible load-bearing member to the body, and an attachment aperture through which a respective connector is passed to releasably connect the connector and the attached connection member to the forward connection member. Thus, a load carried on the supporting platform is transferred through the connection members, the connectors and the forward connection arrangement to the flexible load-bearing member.

CONNECTOR

A connector for use with a fall protection system includes a body, a gate, and a double action locking mechanism. The body includes a spine and two arms extending from the spine to form a gate opening, the arms defining axially aligned first and second apertures respectively. The gate is adapted and configured to move axially through the first and second apertures. In an open position, the gate extends through the first aperture, but a forward end of the gate is spaced rearwardly of the second aperture. In a closed position, the gate extends through the first aperture and the second aperture. The double action locking mechanism is adapted and configured to require application of two distinct and different forces to unlock the locking mechanism and permit the gate to move to the open position.

Self-Retracting Lifeline Communications Systems

A safety harness to be combined with a cold-weather garment to provide for further safety and comfort of those who have a need for climbing structures. Furthermore, the safety harness shall further need to be coupled to a structure to promote further safety as well as be cost efficient and comfortable.

Weight bearing fall protection connector having a wireless fall indicator

A weight bearing fall protection connector includes a first connection member configured to attach the connector to a piece of fall protection equipment, and a second connection member configured to attach the connector to another piece of all equipment, with the connection members fixed to each other to transfer the weight of a worker in a fall event and for movement relative to each other between a ready position and a fall position. The connector further includes a breakable component having a retaining condition wherein the component maintains the members in a ready position and broken condition wherein the component allows the members to move to their fall position. The connector further includes a wireless fall indicator including a wireless transmitter and a switch configured to activate the wireless transmitter in response to movement of the members from the ready position to the fall position.

D-rings with multiple openings

A D-ring, comprising a body having a first surface and a second surface and a plurality of apertures formed through first and second surfaces. The D-ring comprises two or more separate rated apertures for receiving a device or a connector to a device. A first aperture is formed through the first and second surfaces and positioned on the distal portion of the body. A second aperture is formed through the first and second surfaces such that the second aperture is adjacent to the first aperture. Additionally, there is a belt receiving aperture formed through said first and second surfaces positioned on the proximal portion of the body.
