A computer system includes a calendar containing appointments. The system also includes one or more logic modules. Each logic module specifies a condition and a corresponding action. The profile may be applied to context data, such as data representing the current time, to perform the actions specified by the logic modules in response to detecting that the context data satisfies the conditions specified by the logic modules. In particular, the actions specified by the logic modules may be performed in response to detecting that the current time falls within the time period of an appointment on the calendar.

Intelligent Digital Interruption Management
The present invention is a system to manage interrupt notifications on an operating system based on the characteristics of content in which an end user is currently immersed or engaged. For example, relatively high bitrate video throughput is indicative of corresponding high information depth and more action occurring in the scene. For periods of high information depth, interrupt notifications are deferred until the information depth falls into a relative trough. Additional embodiments of the invention process scene transitions, technical cues, dialog and lyrics to release queued interrupt notification at optimal times. A vamping process is also provided when interrupt notification are released to keep the end user prescient to the background application in which they were engaged prior to the interrupt notification coming into focus.

The invention relates to systems and methods for managing emails where an email server that may comprise one or more computer systems, and which may be part of an email system, receives an email addressed to a specified first user. The subject technology provides notification management systems and methods that can be used to efficiently and manage notifications on electronic devices. The subject technology provides systems and methods for obtaining entity data pertaining to entities associated with the electronic device, and generating, for an operational mode associated with the electronic device, an entity score for each of the entities based on the obtained entity data. Based on the entity scores, a recommendation of a set of configuration settings for the operational mode associated with the computing device is provided for display by the computing device. A user input indicating acceptance of the set of configuration settings is received. Thereafter, when the computing device is in the operational mode, display of one or more notifications is controlled based at least in part on the set of configuration settings.
