Client device based solution for handling MAC randomization
A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.

Network name processing method and mobility management network element device
Embodiments of the present invention provide a network name processing method and a mobility management network element. The network name processing method includes receiving a network name sent by a mobile switching center/visitor location register MSC/VLR. The received network name is processed. The mobility management information message is sent to a terminal and according to a processing result based on the processed received network name to enable the terminal to display the network name of the registered network of the terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the terminal always display the network name of the registered network of the terminal, thereby ensuring consistency in the network name display of the terminal, and improving user experience.
EXTENDED DOMAIN PLATFORM FOR NONMEMBER USER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
A device including a processor and a memory, in which the memory includes executable instructions for detecting that a first user has invited a second user to a communication session, wherein the first user is associated with a first user account registered to a first domain platform and the second user is not associated with any of user accounts registered to the first domain platform, the first domain platform defining a first user privilege granted to the user accounts registered to the first domain platform; causing a second user account associated with the second user to be created and registered to a second domain platform, the second domain platform being different from the first domain platform and defining a second user privilege granted to user accounts registered to the second domain platform; and granting the second user account the second user privilege.
System, server apparatus, terminal apparatus, and recording medium for generating a user affinity-based address book, and method for generating a user affinity-based address book
The invention relates to a system, to a server apparatus, to a terminal apparatus, and to a recording medium for generating a user affinity-based address book, and to a method for generating a user affinity-based address book, which support a user so that the user may intuitively recognize an affinity with a number of other users whose contact information is registered in the address book of the user. The invention is implemented such that: that information on a user's address book is provided; the result of a determination on whether or not the same contact number is shared between the user address book and an address book of each person whose contact information is registered, and the duration and frequency of talks between the user and each person whose contact information is registered; and information on a social address book is generated based on the determined affinity.
System and method employing an agile network protocol for secure communications using secure domain names
A system for connecting a first network device and a second network device includes one or more servers. The servers are configured to: (a) receive, from the first network device, a request to look up a network address of the second network device based on an identifier associated with the second network device; (b) determine, in response to the request, whether the second network device is available for a secure communications service; and (c) initiate a virtual private network communication link between the first network device and the second network device based on a determination that the second network device is available for the secure communications service, wherein the secure communications service uses the virtual private network communication link.
Private domain name registration
A service for protecting the privacy of domain name registrants while preserving the registrant's ability to directly change the registration information or transfer the registration. A whois record is created that reflects the registrant's actual identity but contains contact information that is entirely associated with a privacy service.
Linked network presence documents associated with a unique member of a membership-based organization
A system for providing a directory service for generating network presence documents may include a computer processor and memory having instructions stored thereon. These may instruct the processor to parse registration information of a member to obtain a set of keywords. Using the set of keywords, the network maybe searched for information about the member, and registration information may be created based on the information. A trusted network presence document may be generated to include at least a first portion of the registration information as read only content. A link may be created between a profile document and the trusted network presence document. The profile document may include at least a second portion of the registration information as customizable content customizable by the member. The document may then be published on the network.
SELECTION OF A DIGITAL CONTENT PAYOFF BASED ON IDENTIFIED MOBILE DEVICE TYPE
Examples disclosed herein relate to selection of a digital content payoff based on identified mobile device type. Examples include acquisition of a type of mobile device associated with a user, and selection of a digital content payoff based on the identified mobile device type. Examples further include generation of a customized test page including a machine-readable link associated with the selected digital content payoff, and causation of a printing device to print the customized test page.
PLMN selection for mission critical devices
A method for selecting a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) at a user equipment (UE), comprising receiving, from a network entity, a list of PLMN identifiers, attempting to register the UE with a network using at least one PLMN identifier from the list of PLMN identifiers, and if the attempt to register with the network is successful, performing a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) registration to an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Sub-system (IMS) associated to the PLMN identifier.
