VOICE SERVICE ROUTING SYSTEM FOR ACCESSIBILITY

Systems and methods for managing network communication are disclosed. Methods and systems can comprise receiving a telephony message having a source address and determining routing information using the source address. A telephony call may be routed using the determined routing information. Such processing may be implemented to route telephony calls to certain services such as accessibility services based on at least the source address of a telephony message.

IP tolerance and signaling interworking

In an attempt to establish a communication session between a first communication entity and a second communication entity, a first message is received. For example, the first message may be a SIP INVITE message. A determination is made, based on a registration message from the first communication entity and/or the second communication entity, that at least one of the first communication entity or the second communication entity is Internet Protocol (IP) version intolerant. In response to determining that the at least one of the first communication entity or the second communication entity is IP version intolerant, one or more IP addresses are adapted in messages (e.g., the SIP INVITE message) for establishing the communication session. The adaption changes/removes the one or more IP addresses to a different IP version to ensure proper IP compatibility.

Method and Registration Node for Managing Application Resource in Machine to Machine (M2M)

A method and registration node for managing an application resource in Machine to Machine (M2M) are provided. The method includes that: an Application Entity (AE) or a Common Service Entity (CSE) sends a node resource creation request to a registration CSE of the AE or CSE to request a resource for an application node where the AE is located or an intermediate node where the CSE is located; and the registration CSE creates a node resource for the application node or the intermediate node, and establishes an association relationship between an AE resource which has been created for the AE and the currently created node resource, or establishes an association relationship between a CSE resource which has been created for the CSE and the currently created node resource, an attribute of the AE resource includes the AE identity and an attribute of the CSE resource includes the CSE identity.

TELEPHONE NUMBER SELECTION

An example method of assigning a telephone number to a user account in a communications system is provided. The method includes obtaining a mnemonic seed and obtaining a subset of telephone numbers filtered from a global telephone number pool based on the mnemonic seed. The alphanumeric representation of each telephone number in the subset is within a threshold Hamming distance of the mnemonic seed. The method further includes receiving an indication of a selected telephone number from the subset and assigning the selected telephone number to the user account.

Registration method for managing NAT shutdown

The present invention provides a registration method for managing NAT shutdown. In Internet communication field, a user must perform registrations intermittently to a server through NAT, and increase the time interval of registration step by step. But NAT itself will shutdown if no packet is passed through for a long period. The registration method of the present invention is to adjust the time interval of registration step by step so that the time interval of registration is slightly less than the shutdown time of NAT, and then fix the time interval of registration to assure that all of the Invite packet can pass through without blocking up by the shutdown of NAT.

EMERGENCY CALL BACK FOR SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL SESSIONS
20170251027 · 2017-08-31 ·

An Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) process receives a first Internet Protocol (IP) address that is associated with a Media Access Control (MAC) address of a communication endpoint. A first Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE for an emergency call request is received from the communication endpoint. The ARP process receives a second IP address that is associated with the MAC address of the communication endpoint. A second SIP INVITE is received that is a request for an emergency call back. The second SIP INVITE is routed to the communication endpoint based on the second IP address associated with the MAC address of the communication endpoint to reestablish the emergency call with the communication endpoint.

A method and a system track network access information for authorized network devices. The access information facilitates tracking movement of the device throughout the network. In addition the access information can be used to detect when an unauthorized device attempts to access the network, posing as an authorized device.

Selective call blocking and call re-direction

A selective call blocking function (SCBF) device, included in an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS), processes a request to establish an IP call on an LTE network, such as a voice over long term evolution (VoLTE) call. The SCBF device identifies a user equipment (UE) associated with the IP call and an associated eNode B (eNB). For example, the SCBF may access a subscriber location memory to determine a location of the UE and an eNB associated with the location. The SCBF determines whether the eNB supports the IP call, and permits the IP call to be established via the IMS when the eNB supports the IP call. When the eNB does not support the IP call, the SCBF blocks the IP call and initiates a non-IP call, such as a 1× call, to the UE to prevent communications interruptions.

Dual Fallback Hardened VoIP System with Signal Quality Measurement

A hardened VoIP system is presented that includes secure push-to-talk voice functionality. Through the addition of encryption, authentication, user filtering, and integration with new and existing LMR systems, a secure voice platform ensures malicious software, unauthorized access and brute force security attacks will not compromise the voice communications of the system. The VoIP system is engineered to ensure graceful system degradation in the event of maintenance activities, natural disasters and failure modes. The hardened VoIP system offers the functions a LMR trunking system while utilizing broadband connections. Private calls, group calls, Emergency Alarms with covert monitoring capability, scanning and priority scanning may be incorporated into the system. The system includes a VoIP controller that serves as a trunking controller, manages available VoIP based conference bridges, and assigns them as needed to the parties involved in each voice call. The system includes multiple fallback methods that may be prioritized based on pre-failure analytics.
