The WTRU may send a generic attribute registration multicast registration protocol (GMRP) request on a local IP link to an information centric network (ICN) network attachment point (NAP). The NAP may receive and register the GMRP request with an internal data-base (DB) along with an IP multicast address entry matching the GMRP request. The WTRU may then send an IP multicast packet to the NAP for dissemination to an IP multicast group over an ICN by encapsulating the IP multicast packet in an ICN packet.

Profile information based on participant identity for peer-to-peer sessions

A method is employed in association with a communication session over a peer-to-peer network between a first node associated with a first session participant and a second node associated with a second session participant. In the method, identification information identifying the second session participant is received. Profile information descriptive of the second session participant is gathered using the identification information. The communication session is conducted using the profile information descriptive of the second session participant.

Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for recommending content based on content being engaged with by a user's social media contacts. For example, embodiments described herein advantageously provide a user with content recommendations that are based on what other people associated with the user (e.g., via a social media service) are consuming. For instance, content being engaged with by a user's social media contacts are monitored via multimedia devices utilized by the user and his contacts and/or are inferred via social media posts of the user's contacts. Once the content is determined, the user is provided with recommendations for that contact. The recommendations may be provided to the user while the user is watching content and/or browsing for content. The recommendations may also be provided based on periodicity of the media content.

A plurality of alias numbers can be provided to the computing device and enabled for use by the computing device. Alias numbers can be enabled on multiple computing appliances, such that a user can transfer voice or video calls between devices using the alias numbers. Further, monitoring components in a home environment, for example, can be associated with one or more alias number so that security alerts can be provided to the various computing devices and computing appliances associated with the alias numbers.

According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for affecting user associations in over the top (OTT) service platforms. The method includes receiving a first message for initiating associations or disassociations between a first user and a second user of over the top (OTT) service platforms. The OTT service platforms are controlled and operated by distinct entities. The method also includes determining, using at least one of information in the first message and stored information, the OTT service platforms in which associations are to be established or disestablished. The method further includes sending at least a second message for establishing or disestablishing an association between the first user and the second user in the OTT service platforms.

The memory may be store instructions which, when executed, configure the processor to control the electronic device to: control the communication circuit to receive a call from a first external electronic device, identify a receiving phone number of the call, identify a second external electronic device in a communication group set corresponding to the receiving phone number among at least one phone number registered based on information about a user account stored in the memory, and control the communication circuit to relay the call to the identified second external electronic device.

A computer system entity that requests access to a remote computer system resource has that request fulfilled by a managed directory service which receives the request and connects the computer system entity to the remote computer system resource. While connected, the managed directory service receives commands to perform operations on the remote computer system resource and, if the computer system entity is authorized to perform the operations on the remote computer system resource, the managed directory service performs the operation on the remote computer system resource.

Aliasing in an active-active multi-homed PBB-EVPN network

Techniques are described for providing aliasing in an active-active multi-homed Provider Backbone Bridging Ethernet Virtual Private Network (PBB-EVPN) network. For example, PE devices of a multi-homed Ethernet segment may send packets received from the PBB-EVPN core network over the Ethernet segment to the customer device even if the receiving PE device has not learned the source MAC address of the CE device. In particular, the PE devices coupled to the multi-homed Ethernet segment may apply aliasing techniques in which a PE device performs a lookup of a BMAC address and the Customer Virtual Local Area Network (C-VLAN), instead of a lookup of a destination MAC address, to determine the path to send the data traffic.
