Home assistant wireless communication service subscriber self-service

A method of providing electronic home assistant service. The method comprises processing a first audio received from a microphone of an electronic home assistant by a voice recognition application executing on the electronic home assistant into a first parsed digital signal, providing the parsed digital signal by the voice recognition application to a plurality of applications executing on the electronic home assistant, receiving an exclusive access to parsed digital signals request by the voice recognition application from a wireless communication service account self-service client application executing on the electronic home assistant, processing a second audio received from the microphone of the electronic home assistant by the voice recognition application to form a second parsed digital signal, and providing the second parsed digital signal exclusively to the wireless communication service account self-service client application.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONNECTING A TERMINAL TO NETWORK BASED ON APPLICABLE NETWORK INFORMATION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20200304989 · 2020-09-24 ·

A communication technology for converging a 5th-generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate after a 4th-generation (4G) system to an Internet of things (IoT) technology and a system thereof are provided. A method for connecting to a network by a terminal in a mobile communication system wherein a first communication network and a second communication network are operable, and an apparatus thereof are provided. The method includes transmitting, to a mobility management function, information on supportable communication network for the terminal and an attach request message including a packet data unit (PDU) session request, receiving an internet protocol (IP) address allocated based on the information on supportable communication network and an attach accept message including a PDU session response, and connecting to a network based on the IP address.

Auto-attach signaling used as wireless local area network (WLAN) selection criterion

Implementing auto attach for a shortest path bridging (SPB) network comprises determining, on an access point, that an auto attach device communicating in a SPB network is enabled for auto attach, and an advertisement is transmitted to a mobile station. The access point acts a proxy between the mobile station and the auto-attach device by communicably coupling the auto attach device and the mobile station via the access point. A virtual local area network (VLAN) identification and service instance identifier (I-SID) is received from the mobile station, when is then transmitted to the auto-attach device. A VLAN (independent of any static VLAN associated with the WLAN) is created off of the VLAN identification and an indication that the I-SID and the VLAN have been accepted. Data communications are then provided between the mobile station and the auto attach device via the VLAN and the access point.

SIM provisioning of a mobile device

There is provided a device comprising a key request module and a key receive module. The key request module is configured to transmit a key request to a provisioning server, and the key receive module is configured to receive a device root key associated with the device from the provisioning server. The device also comprises an authentication request transmit module configured to transmit an authentication request comprising an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) and a device identifier identifying the device to a first home subscriber server (HSS). The device also comprises an authentication under key agreement (AKA) module configured to perform an AKA procedure using the device root key. The key request module, the key receive module, the authentication request transmit module and the AKA module thereby authenticate the device for subscriber identity module (SIM) provisioning of the device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING INDIVIDUALIZED COMMUNICATION SERVICE

A method for providing individualized communication service includes (1) recognizing a first client being communicatively coupled to a first local communication network, (2) determining an identity of the first client, (3) transporting first data between the first client and a first operator communication network, using the first local communication network in accordance with a first service profile associated with the first client, and (4) transporting the first data using the first operator communication network in accordance with the first service profile.

Determining a persistent network identity of a networked device

The present disclosure relates to a network device that determines a persistent network identity for a networked device. Specifically, the network device receives a service request that includes an identifier for a second network device in a sub-network among a plurality of sub-networks. The identifier uniquely corresponds to the second network device during a limited period of time. At least one sub-networks are unreachable by the service request. The network device aggregates partial networked device profiles corresponding to the second network device received from other network devices in at least the at least one sub-networks to generate a networked device profile. Moreover, the network device searches at least one caches to obtain the networked device profile based on the identifier in the service request, and correlates the identifier to a persistent network identity corresponding to the second network device based on the networked device profile.

Dual Radio Operation Between Access Systems Using 3GPP Radio Access Technology
20200267607 · 2020-08-20 ·

Systems and methods of providing 5G access for a UE are generally described. The UE is simultaneously connected via dual radio operation to a legacy and 5G access system. The UE mobility management states for the access systems are independent of each other. The EPC and 5G CN share an HSS and may share a IP anchor. When handover occurs between access systems, the IP address is retained and the IP anchor used when the UE transmits an Attach Request having a Handover Attach Request Type and otherwise a new IP address is provided and the HSS but not the IP anchor is common between the access systems. The 5G eNB to which the UE is connected is standalone and connected to the 5G CN or dual mode and connected with an EPC via an LTE anchor in addition to the 5G CN.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR REGISTERING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE UTILIZING A VIRTUAL NETWORK

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that registers a communication device with a temporary IMSI shared among multiple communication devices with a virtual registration function. Further, the system provisions an active IMSI using a virtual Over-the-Air (OTA) function onto the communication device and indicates to the communication device to register with a registration function using the active IMSI. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Systems and methods for inferring entity relationships via network communications of users or user devices

A number of techniques facilitate generation of data points from observations about network traffic. An inferencing system can use these data points to determine whether a relationship exists between two entities or whether an existing relationship has terminated, without any external knowledge of the existence of or termination of such a relationship.

Method and apparatus for utilizing mobile subscriber identification information with multiple devices based on registration requests
