Client device based solution for handling MAC randomization
A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.

Making International Mobile Subscriber Identity Available at Base Station
The subject matter described herein generally relates to making an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) available at a base station, such as an evolved node (eNodeB) base station, within a cellular network, for example, a long term evolution communications system. The base station can receive data in response to a data request. The received data can include a header including an international mobile subscriber identifier. The base station can generate a first data for use in performing at least one communication function based on the received international mobile subscriber identifier. The base station can transmit the first data to at least one server communicatively coupled to the base station. Related apparatuses, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
SMS DOMAIN PREFERENCE
A method may be performed by a network device. The method may include conducting an attachment procedure with a wireless device, wherein the conducting forms a session between the wireless device and the core network; associating the wireless device with a short message service (SMS) capability for the session, wherein the SMS capability indicates whether the wireless device can process SMS messages via Internet protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) protocols; identifying an SMS message intended for an application residing on the wireless device; routing the SMS message via IMS protocols when the SMS capability of the wireless device indicates the wireless device can process IMS protocols; and routing the SMS message via non-access stratum (NAS) protocols when the SMS capability of the wireless device indicates the wireless device cannot process IMS protocols.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVISIONING MULTIPLE USER IDENTITIES IN AN IP MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM
A mechanism for an apparatus in a communication network is described. The mechanism comprises receiving provisioning from a second apparatus, wherein said provisioning comprising at least a public identity and a pre-defined range of private identity associated with the public identity, receiving a request comprising a first public identity and its associated private identity from a third apparatus, determining the first public identity already exists in the apparatus, determining the received private identity is not identical to any private identity already provisioned in the apparatus, determining the received private identity is not identical to any private identity in a temporary profile, determining the received private identity is within a pre-defined range of private identity associated with the first public identity, creating a temporary private identity identical to the received private identity and a temporary profile for the received private identity.
Method and apparatus for receiving contents in mobile communication system
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting contents in a mobile communication network. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for receiving the contents of user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system equipped with a local server which is connected to a base station (eNB) and copies partial contents of an external content server and maintains the copied contents, can include: a content determination step of determining whether the selected contents are the contents provided from the local server when a content selection input is received; a request transmission step of transmitting a content transmission request message to the base station (eNB) when the contents are the contents provided from the local server; and a content reception step of receiving the contents from the base station. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides the method and the apparatus for efficiently receiving the contents which reduce resources used for receiving the contents and shorten a delay time.
Systems and methods for providing individualized communication service
A method for providing individualized communication service includes (1) recognizing a first client being communicatively coupled to a first local communication network, (2) determining an identity of the first client, (3) transporting first data between the first client and a first operator communication network, using the first local communication network in accordance with a first service profile associated with the first client, and (4) transporting the first data using the first operator communication network in accordance with the first service profile.
COVERAGE ENHANCEMENT FOR MULTICAST IN A CELLULAR NETWORK
The present invention relates to coverage enhancement in a cellular network, e.g. for coverage enhancement in a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service application in an LTE cellular network. At least two identifiers, e.g. Temporary Mobile Group Identifiers, are assigned to the same service and the service is transmitted repeatedly over MBMS.
User Plane for Fifth Generation Cellular Architecture
Apparatuses, systems, and methods to perform attachment of a wireless device to a next generation gateway via either a base station of a next generation radio access network (RAN) or a mobility management entity of a legacy RAN. An apparatus may be configured to receive an attachment request from a wireless device, determine authentication information via communication with a home subscriber server, determine, based at least in part on the authentication information, whether the wireless device is capable of communicating via the next generation RAT, and send, in response to determining the wireless device is capable, a connection request to a gateway of the next generation RAN. The authentication information may include subscription information associated with the wireless device.
Method and system for implementing data routing of roaming user
A method and system for implementing data routing of a roaming user are disclosed. The method comprises: configuring a roaming protocol between the home network and the roaming network; during the registering process of the user in the roaming network, performing an interactive negotiation between the home network and the roaming network, so as to determine one of the home network and the roaming network to allocate IP address according to the roaming protocol between the home network and the roaming network; and establishing the IP access bearer based on the IP address.
