Media data is received from a sender. Once the at least one target feature is detected in the media data, the corresponding effect relating to the at least one target feature is applied to the media data.

A method to transcribe a video communication session may include obtaining, at a communication system, a request from a first communication device for a video communication session and determining a currently available second communication device from among multiple second communication devices registered with the communication system. The method may also include establishing the video communication session between the first communication device and the currently available second communication device. After establishing the video communication session, the method may include receiving media data from the currently available second communication devices, the media data including audio data and video data and capturing, at the communication system, the audio data for generation of a transcription of the audio data. The method may also include routing the media data to the first communication device, generating the transcription of the audio data, and routing the transcription to the first communication device for presentation.

The method of performing controlled pre-interaction includes: providing at least one private interaction address, defining at least one manageable public interaction address, forming a record of manageable public interaction address associated with the private interaction address. The method comprises: identifying a called number of a missed call or identifying an addressee number of an unread message; when callback is initiated, detecting a number of a current SIM card, and if the number is not the called number, switching to a SIM card of the called number, or when message replying is initiated, detecting the number of the current SIM card, and if the number is not the addressee number, switching to a SIM card of the addressee number, and calling back via the switched SIM card or replying to the message via the switched SIM card.
