METHOD OF FORWARDING DATA BETWEEN IP DEVICES
20170302620 · 2017-10-19 ·

One embodiment relates to data routing using first and second pieces of IP type equipment, the second piece of equipment being suitable for communicating with a management node of a sensor network. The sensors may have respective IP addresses that are generated by said management node, the node also having a function of routing data in the sensor network. The method includes, in a router, generating an address for the second piece of equipment, verifying the availability of the address in the sensor network from the management node, and if the address is available, requesting the management node to add the second piece of equipment in the sensor network.

Communication apparatus, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining IP addresses for use in different networks

A communication apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored in the memory. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a first network including the communication apparatus and a first device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a second network including the communication apparatus and a second device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to determine a target IP address. Determining the target IP address includes identifying a particular IP address, which is an IP address of the communication apparatus used in the second type network. Determining the target IP address includes generating the target IP address to be within a particular range using the particular IP address. The particular range is a range of IP addresses that are not available in the second type network. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to assign the target IP address to the first device.

Duplicate MAC address detection

Systems and methods for differentiating between a duplicate MAC address situation and a multiple MAC address movement situation are provided. A node receives a new MAC address determines if it is a known or unknown MAC address by comparing it with a stored MAC address table. If it is a previously known MAC address, the node initiates a duplicate MAC address detection process to determine if at least one of the duplicate MAC addresses is no longer valid or is the result of a MAC mobility event.

Management of blacklists and duplicate addresses in software defined networks

Described herein are systems and methods to manage blacklists and duplicate addresses in software defined networks (SDNs). In one implementation, a method includes, in a control plane and data plane of an SDN environment, obtaining a blacklist for a logical port in the SDN environment. The method further includes deleting realized address bindings in a realized address list for the logical port that match the one or more address bindings in the blacklist and preventing subsequent address bindings that match the one or more address bindings in the blacklist from being added to the realized address list.

Method and apparatus for finding a neighbor in a wireless communication system

A device and method for performing Internet Protocol (IP) configuration by a station (STA) of a wireless communication network. The method includes: prior to associating with an access point (AP), receiving, at the STA from the AP, a beacon frame including subnet information and IP type information of the AP; transmitting, by the STA to the AP, a request frame including a requested IP address. Here, the requested IP address is determined by the STA based on the subnet information and the IP type information of the AP. The method also includes: receiving, by the STA from the AP, a response frame including information on an availability of the requested IP address; and associating with the AP by the STA based on the response frame.

NAT AWARE DNS

Systems and methods are provided for resolving conflicting network addresses by utilizing a DNS server to configure an edge computing device. The DNS server may receive, from a client computing device, a request to resolve a hostname of a recipient computing device. The DNS server may determine a resolved network address corresponding to the hostname and may determine that the resolved network address conflicts with another network address. The DNS server may determine a substitute network address, provide the edge computing device with information for translating the substitute network address into the resolved network address, and provide the substitute network address to the client computing device. The edge computing device may receive the substitute network address from the client computing device, translate the substitute network address into the resolved network address of the recipient computing device, and send network data from the client computing device to the recipient computing device.

METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING A PLURALITY OF NETWORK ADDRESSES FOR A PLURALITY OF COMMUNICATION DEVICES
20170289096 · 2017-10-05 ·

Methods, devices, and systems for generating a plurality of network addresses for a plurality of communication devices communicating over a network. One method includes receiving, with an electronic processor included in a server, geographical coordinates of the network, generating, with the electronic processor, a first set of bits based on the geographical coordinates, generating, with the electronic processor, a second set of bits based on a random number, and generating, with the electronic processor, a baseline address including the first set of bits and the second set of bits. The method also includes generating the plurality of network addresses, wherein each of the plurality of network addresses includes the baseline address and a unique offset. In addition, the method includes assigning one of the plurality of network addresses to one of the plurality of communication devices.

LIGHT EMITTING DIODE LAMP RECEIVING CONTACTLESS BURNING SIGNAL AND SYSTEM FOR THE SAME AND BURNING ADDRESS METHOD FOR THE SAME
20170290120 · 2017-10-05 ·

A light emitting diode lamp receiving a contactless burning signal includes at least a light emitting diode and a light emitting diode driving apparatus. The light emitting diode driving apparatus includes a burning signal detector, an address burning controller, an address memory and a light emitting diode driving circuit. The burning signal detector wirelessly receives a wireless address signal from outside. The burning signal detector converts the wireless address signal into a local address signal. The burning signal detector transmits the local address signal to the address burning controller. The address burning controller burns the local address signal into the address memory, so that the address memory stores a local address data.

SCALABLE AND ON-DEMAND MULTI-TENANT AND MULTI REGION SECURE NETWORK

Provided herein are systems and methods for configuring a segmented cloud based network based on separate Internet Protocol (IP) segments, comprising receiving instructions to create one or more additional private virtual networks as respective additional segments in a multi-tenant multi-regional cloud based network segmented to a plurality of segments each mapped by a respective IP address range, calculating one or more non-conflicting new IP address range based on analysis of the IP address range of each of the segments, allocating a respective new IP address range to each additional segment, and deploying automatically one or more gateways. The gateways are configured to connect one or more client devices to the additional segments) by assigning each client device an IP address in the respective new IP address range and routing network packets between the client devices and the respective additional segment according to mapping of the respective new IP address range.

Network Node and Method for Handling a Traffic Flow Related to a Local Service Cloud

A method in a network node for handling a traffic flow of a User Equipment, UE is provided. The network node is related to a local service cloud. The traffic flow is related to an application session to be served by the local service cloud. The network node identifies (202) a UE Internet Protocol, IP, address of the UE. When the identified UE IP address is used by another UE in a first Virtual Local Area Network, VLAN, comprised in the local service cloud, the network node selects (204) a second VLAN comprised in the local service cloud for local break out of the traffic flow of the application session to the local service cloud. In the second VLAN, the identified UE IP address is not used by another UE.
