11431674 · 2022-08-30 · ·

A technique that manages device addresses involves: sending, at a first device, a probe message to at least one other device, wherein the probe message includes a first MAC address of the first device, a first identifier of the first device, and an IP address to be assigned to the first device; receiving a message from a second device, the message including a second MAC address of the second device, a second identifier of the second device, and an IP address of the second device; and according to a determination that the IP address of the second device is the same as the IP address to be assigned to the first device, providing a probe alert including the identifies and indicating that an IP address conflict occurs. By writing device IDs in messages transmitted across a network, devices that may have an IP address conflict can be quickly detected.

Disclosed are a system and data card for stateless automatic configuration of an IPv6 address and the method for implementing the same, and the method includes: an IPv6 address configuration way of a data card is set and stored according to an IPv6 address allocation strategy of a current network, after successful establishment of an IPv6 dialup connection and reception of a router advertisement request message transmitted by a terminal for acquiring a prefix address, the data card determines the set IPv6 address allocation way, and when the set IPv6 address allocation way is a static configuration way, a router advertisement response message is discarded and a valid IPv6 global unicast address is reported to the terminal. By means of the system, data card and method, it is possible to solve a problem that data transmission can not be normally performed by an existing data card implementing dialup in an Ethernet link way when interface identifiers are allocated by a network.

CORRELATING DEVICES AND CLIENTS ACROSS ADDRESSES

Correlating devices and clients across addresses may be provided. A first address associated with a client device may be received. When the client device is not connected to a network, first location data associated with the first address may be obtained using a passive technique. A second address and second location data associated with the second address may then be obtained using an active technique. It may then be determined that the first location data and the second location data correlate. In response to determining that the first location data and the second location data correlate, it may be determined that the client device has changed from the first address to the second address.

IPV6 ADDRESS ASSIGNMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS

IPv6 address assignment method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: receiving first Prefix Delegations (PDs) sent by at least two network access devices, where the first PDs sent by the different network access devices are different from each other; generating second PDs according to the received first PDs, where the second PDs have a one-to-one correspondence with the first PDs; and sending the generated second PDs to user device for generating by the user device IPv6 addresses according to the second PDs.

System and method for automatic wireless connection between a portable terminal and a digital device

A method and system are provided for automatic wireless connection to a digital device in a portable terminal, wherein information about the portable terminal is acquired. The information about the portable terminal is commonly used for automatic wireless connection to the digital device. A state of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is checked and activated, and the WLAN is set to an Ad-hoc mode. A Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the WLAN is set using the acquired portable terminal information, a security key of the WLAN is set using the acquired portable terminal information, and an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the WLAN is automatically set using the acquired portable terminal information.

Internet-of-things system for public transportation service and method of operating same

An Internet-of-Things (IoT) system for public transportation service and a method of operating the same are disclosed. The IoT system includes on-vehicle devices, a management server, a plurality of bus stop access points (APs), and a wired/wireless bus stop access point (AP) communication network. The on-vehicle devices are mounted within a bus, i.e., a public transportation means. The management server is connected to the bus over an Internet, i.e., a wireless communication means. The plurality of bus stop APs are short distance communication APs, and are each provided in each bus stop at which the bus stops and configured to enable information to be exchanged between the bus stop and the bus. The wired/wireless bus stop AP communication network connects the plurality of bus stop APs. The management server performs Internet access processing to connect the bus stop AP communication network and an external terminal.

System and method employing an agile network protocol for secure communications using secure domain names

A system for connecting a first network device and a second network device includes one or more servers. The servers are configured to: (a) receive, from the first network device, a request to look up a network address of the second network device based on an identifier associated with the second network device; (b) determine, in response to the request, whether the second network device is available for a secure communications service; and (c) initiate a virtual private network communication link between the first network device and the second network device based on a determination that the second network device is available for the secure communications service, wherein the secure communications service uses the virtual private network communication link.

WIRELESS DOCKING SYSTEM FOR AUDIO-VIDEO RELAY

In a wireless docking system a host (100) is arranged for docking a dockee (120) and relaying data packets from the dockee to an audio/video peripheral (110,111,112). The host is arranged for using a first host interne protocol [IP] address as address for the host for the wireless communication while docking the dockee, and using a second host IP address as address for the host for the wireless communication for setting up a direct connection to the audio/video peripheral, while the host operates as an audio/video data source towards the peripheral, and providing the second host IP address to the dockee. The dockee is arranged for using the second host IP address as source IP address for the dockee for exchanging data packets with the audio/video peripheral while transferring the data packets via the host. The audio/video peripheral can keep on using the same destination IP address and is not aware of actually communicating with the dockee.

SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING DYNAMIC IPV6 ADDRESSES FOR SECURE AUTHENTICATION
20170264600 · 2017-09-14 ·

Apparatus, system and method for authenticating a device for secure network communication. A device may obtain identification data in the device, wherein the identification data is configured as a hash of a public key for identifying at least one of the device and/or a user associated with the device. An Internet Protocol (IP) message may be generated, wherein an IP source address in the IP message includes the identification data. The device may register with a server by transmitting the IP message and the public key and subsequently generate and transmit a second IP message after registering the device, wherein an IP source address of the second IP message includes the identification data. The server may issue a challenge to the device in response to the second IP message, wherein the challenge is based at least in part on the identification data. After receiving the challenge, the device may transmit response data to the server for authenticating the device for secure network communication.
