Shoe with upper at least partially rendered impermeable
A shoe with an upper that is at least partially rendered impermeable, including a sole; an insole; an upper assembly, which at least comprises a breathable lining, a breathable upper, and, interposed between at least part thereof, a layer that is waterproof and is fixed hermetically below the insole, the upper assembly being associated with the insole; and a region providing a waterproof seal of the insole to the sole, the sealing region substantially surrounding the breathable or perforated portion that is free for perspiration.
Waterproof Garment and Method of Manufacture
A waterproof garment, such as a shoe, is formed from a first seamless circular knitted liner, which is coated with resin and cured to form a waterproof layer. The first liner is fitted within a second seamless circular knitted liner. In the case of a shoe, a sole can be attached and a reliably waterproof shoe is thereby provided which can be efficiently manufactured. In another embodiment, the combined liners are used as a waterproof lining for a shoe upper.
SECURING MECHANISMS FOR ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper, and a securing mechanism. The upper comprises a toe region, a midfoot region, a heel region, a lateral side, and a medial side, and is coupled to the sole structure. The securing mechanism is fixedly attached to the upper and comprises a forefoot portion and a heel lock element. The heel lock element has a first and a second end and extends from the lateral side of the upper, passes around the heel region of the upper, and extends to the medial side of the upper. The heel lock element comprises a stiffness that is greater than the stiffness of the upper and is configured such that tensioning the securing band adjusts the heel segment of the main portion relative to a wearer's heel.

Stretchable Waterproof Liner
Waterproof articles of footwear having an improved fit and waterproof stretchable liners are provided. The footwear and liners of the present technology may include various stretchable components configured to tightly secure and conform to a user's foot and adapted to provide a tighter and more versatile fit around the differently sized and shaped feet of various different users. In some aspects of the present technology, the waterproof liner may contain one or more stretchable panels and one or more non-stretchable or less stretchable panels. In other aspects, waterproof footwear may be provided with stretchable components such as straps or bands adapted to secure a user's foot.
3-DIMENSIONAL MANUFACTURE OF POROUS AND WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
The disclosure relates to seamless manufacturing processes for 3-dimensional waterproof and breathable porous polymer membranes by spraying, dip-coating or painting a substrate with a dispersion having polymer, coated or non-coated particles and diluent and removing the particles by dissolution thus creating porosity after the 3D coating/shaping. The disclosure further relates to dispersions to obtain such membranes, to polymer membranes obtained, to shaped articles containing such membranes; to the use of such membranes, shaped articles and intermediates.
FUNCTIONAL FOOTWEAR UNIT
The invention relates to a functional footwear unit, in particular in the form of knit-of-parts, which has preferably a particularly modular protective function against chemical and/or biological toxic and/or harmful substances, especially warfare agents. The invention also relates to the uses thereof.
Methods for and footwear assemblies with releasable attachment of soles
A footwear assembly has releasably attachable sock and oversock arranged to cover the user's toes and heels. A user puts the sock on a first foot, puts the sock-covered toes into a water-resistant oversock's toe cap, stretches the oversock sole along its length by pressing a second foot down on a protrusion extending outward from the heel of the oversock sole, and releases the stretched sole to bring the oversock heel toward the sock-covered heel. An attachment fastener has a single sock attachment site, located on the rear of the sock at a heel rear portion, and a single oversock attachment site, located on a rear section of the oversock. The sock releasably attaches to the oversock at only the single sock attachment site; and the oversock releasably attaches to the sock at only the single oversock attachment site.
AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper assembly having a foot insertion volume with a proximal part and a lateral part that extends from the proximal part and in a vertical direction upwards away from the proximal par. A first layer has a lateral surface and a medial surface. A waterproof and vapor permeable functional second layer has a lateral surface and a medial surface. The second layer is positioned between the foot insertion volume and the medial surface of the first layer. A sole assembly includes an upper facing surface and a ground contacting surface. The sole assembly is connected to the upper assembly. A peripheral part of the sole assembly overlaps a proximal part of the first outer layer and/or the second layer. An attachment member is provided between the first layer and the second layer where the sole assembly overlaps the first layer and the second layer.
IMPROVED FOOTWEAR
A footwear is for wearing on a foot of a user. The footwear includes at least one component (ex. only one single component, or a plurality/combination of different components, etc.) selected from an upper, a lining, a midsole, an outsole, an insole and at least one lace. The at least one component is made of a material based on a lignocellulose substance and having been converted into a corresponding fabric (ex. a bamboo lyocell fabric, etc.), without, or at the very least, with reduced chemicals or synthetics like rayon (polyester). The resulting footwear has various advantages in terms of “sustainability” and “functionality”, as well as other advantages, when compared to conventional footwear.
