Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to template-based management of telecommunications services. According to a specific example, a server is provided comprising one or more computer processor circuits configured to interface with a remotely-situated client entity using a first programming language. The server includes a call control engine that is configured to provide a private branch exchange (PBX) for the client entity, and identify a call control template written in a second programming language. The call control engine is further configured to control call routing by the PBX, by executing the call control template to identify at least one data source that corresponds to a call property for the VoIP telephone call, retrieve data from the data source, and implement one or more call processing functions specified by the call control template as being conditional upon the retrieved data.

An IP telephony system allows users of the IP telephony system to register extension telephony devices with the IP telephony system. An extension telephony device is one that is provided with service by a separate telephony service provider. Once an extension telephony device is registered, a user can obtain communications services from the IP telephony system using the extension telephony device. A extension telephony device may be tied to a user's main telephony services account with the IP telephony system such that when the user obtains communications services from the IP telephony system using an extension telephony device, the user will be billed for those communications services through the user's main account.

A communication system provides multimedia communications within and between armored ground combat vehicles (GCVs). The system includes client computers within the armored GCVs providing distributed and interconnected multimedia communications among the client computers. The multimedia communication may include a one-to-one communication, a text communication to a group, an audio communication to a group, or a video communication to a group. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a proxy-call session control function (P-CSCF) node includes receiving, from a non-public network, NPN, user equipment, UE, an Internet Protocol, IP, Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, registration request, the IMS registration request including an NPN identifier associated with the NPN UE; and as a result of receipt of the IMS registration request, at least one of obtaining and using an IMS identifier associated with the NPN identifier of the NPN UE to register the NPN UE in an IMS network. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a non-public network (NPN) user equipment (UE) includes sending an IMS registration request, the IMS registration request including an NPN identifier associated with the NPN UE and the IMS registration request being for an individual IMS registration of the UE.

In various embodiments, a computing system may receive, from a first router among a plurality of routers in a first network operated by a first service provider, first SIP data, the first SIP data indicating a request to initiate a SIP-based media communication session between a calling party at an originating address in an originating network and a called party at a terminating address in a terminating network. The computing system may determine a communication route among a plurality of routes through the plurality of routers in the first network for establishing the SIP-based media communication session, based at least in part on the originating address, and may establish the SIP-based media communication session between the calling party and the called party via the determined communication route.
