Systems and methods for managing multimedia conference calls
Systems and methods are disclosed for managing a multimedia conference call. According to certain embodiments, a server establishes a multimedia conference call between a plurality of multimedia conference devices. The multimedia conference call includes the communication of multimedia conference contents via one or more of the plurality of multimedia conference devices. The server also records at least a portion of the multimedia conference contents; and detects one or more interrupting events. The interrupting events occur during the multimedia conference call. The server further provides substitute contents to the other multimedia conference devices of the plurality of multimedia conference devices. The substitute contents are generated based on a recorded portion of the multimedia conference call associated with a time to the interrupting events.
Dual tone multi-frequency transcoding server for use by multiple session border controllers
In a packet communication system, session border controllers receive and process communication packets to detect DTMF signaling. If DTMF signaling is detected, the session border controllers determine if DTMF transcoding is required. If DTMF transcoding is required, the session border controllers transfer DTMF transcoding instructions to a DTMF transcoding server. In response to the transcoding instructions, the DTMF transcoding server transfers transcoded DTMF signaling.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORD MEDIUM FOR PROVIDING MULTIPLE GROUP CALLS IN ONE CHATROOM
Disclosed is a method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable record medium for providing a plurality of group calls in a single chatroom. A group call providing method including receiving, by the at least one processor, information about a plurality of group call channels generated in response to a first request from at least one member included in a chatroom, from a server, providing, by the at least one processor, a group call channel list about the plurality of group call channels through the chatroom based on the information about the plurality of group call channels, and starting, by the at least one processor, a group call through a specific group call channel, from among the plurality of group call channels, in response to receiving a second request for joining the specific group call channel through the group call channel list may be provided.

System and method for providing network support services and premises gateway support infrastructure
A service management system communicates via wide area network with gateway devices located at respective user premises. The service management system remotely manages delivery of application services, which can be voice controlled, by a gateway, e.g. by selectively activating/deactivating service logic modules in the gateway. The service management system also may selectively provide secure communications and exchange of information among gateway devices and among associated endpoint devices. An exemplary service management system includes a router connected to the network and one or more computer platforms, for implementing management functions. Examples of the functions include a connection manager for controlling system communications with the gateway devices, an authentication manager for authenticating each gateway device and controlling the connection manager and a subscription manager for managing applications services and/or features offered by the gateway devices. A service manager, controlled by the subscription manager, distributes service specific configuration data to authenticated gateway devices.

Using multiple media players to insert data items into a media stream of a streaming media
Playback of a tagged audio stream at mobile communications device, or other processing device, can be controlled transparently to a user of the device by implementing multiple instances of a media player. A Spot Caching Instance of the media player can receive and cache an untagged content stream from an advertisement server. A Content Playback Instance of the media player can be used to play back and process a tagged content stream from a radio station to identify tags. When the Content Playback Instance detects a tag, it transfers control to an Ad Spot Playback Instance of the media player, which can play back part or all of the untagged content stream from cache. When playback of the untagged content stream is completed, the Ad Spot Playback Instance transfers control back to the Content Playback Instance.
Dual-mode device for voice communication
A terminal for use in a voice communications system includes a base station and at least one handset arranged to communicate wirelessly with the base station. The base station includes a first interface to a packet data network and a second interface to a public switched telephone network, the base station being arranged to selectively establish a packet data call from the first interface and a public switched telephone call from the second interface.
